I think why asta resonates more with hard work than someone like guts and rock lee is because he was never a victim of his circumstances. He never HAD to try to be the wizard king. Not to downplay other characters but guts worked hard to survive and Naruto and rock lee were born in a village made to train ninja. Asta had a nice family a talented rival while he had nothing. He never got jealous never got envious, all he did was work not knowing he’s see any benefit working consistently everyday without anyone knowing.
