Regarding Nacht and why he didn't really "come out of left field": It was referenced early on in the show when Asta first arrived at the Black Bulls hideout, that there were some members away on missions... Nacht has been on his mission in the spade kingdom. Plus we knew we hadn't met the Vice Captain up until this point so its not a huge surprise to find out there's a member we hadn't met.

Asta and Yami vs. Dante is definitely one of the best fights despite being done only in one month. For context, the levi vs. kenny scene alone took 3months to animate, OP movie quality episodes take as long as 6-8months but for BC ep 167, the animators only had 1 month to finish it. They truly surpassed their limits and gave us an amazing episode 🔥

saddest thing is this anime would've been longer if people didn't hate this anime, but that's not the only reasoning to why this show is ending shorter than expected and the manga being on hiatus for 3 years because of people not messing with the manga. Most of the manga writers have a contract with the company who's creating the anime adaptation, if they see good results with the manga. They now can tell that the manga writer is getting paid for the products; If the manga's not getting any recognition for its greatness, then it'll be paused for a long time or worse cancelled. So please appreciate this manga writer's work by buying his manga so he can continue his loving and caring passion for writing a beautiful story like this one.
