If it gets to be too much to handle, change over to English for the first 20 episodes. By then Asta will have for the most part calmed down the yelling. That and Black Clover actually has a really good English dub.

Hi, a quick warning: the beginning might be a bit slow and the animation may dwindle between ep 10-24-ish. But it picks it back up after ep 30 and it is worth the wait. Some scenes in the starting episodes may lack beauty but that is only because this show started with a very low budget and it was a weekly series. But trust me when I say that they do pick things up and deliver when it counts EDIT: Best to keep expectations mediocre and don't overwork yourself. Always pay attention to your health

The floating things were dandelion fluff, if you look carefully you can see stems at the bottom of them (some of them at least) and yeah, a lot of people complain about Asta's voice. This was his V.A.'s first major role and his only direction was to be energetic (I think, it's been a while), fortunately he does start to slowly improve after Ep. 4 which you've possibly already discovered. Also if you check out the manga it shows the book had come out from the other side of that stone block wall Asta had gotten slammed into.

you have to take into account that not everything will be explained straight away, for example asta's grimoire. Almost every question you have will eventually get answered, also if you're going to be watching the whole show, I thought I would give you a heads up about the animation issues the show has - quite inconsistent due to the lack of time and budget. For me, black clover is an amazing show and I hope you continue to watch the series! ps - the animation gets insanely good around ep 80-170 and a lot more consistent.

Three things I want to point out to those who *don't* immediately get into this series: 1) Especially early on, the pacing hurts. If the Black Clover Wiki is right, Chapter 1 spills over into Episode 2 or 3, and Chapter 2 is split between episodes 3 and 4. 2) The animation budget sometimes leads to episodes looking kind of iffy... but this seems to be resource allocation. Sometimes later that same episode, sometimes an episode or two later, there will be a key scene with gorgeous animation! 3) Black Clover was originally *over-hyped!* It was heralded at br he next Bleach or Naruto or One Piece. I mean, in the good way, as opposed to people worrying about those series' low points. This lead many people, myself included, going in with unreasonable expectations. So, the Black Clover hate you sometimes encounter isn't a random thing.

I completely agree with this post however it was stated in an interview by the directors it wasn’t a budget problem but a scheduling issue. The schedule was harsh and didn’t allow them to animate it as they wanted to. Also certain animation studios they used normally as outsources went out of business so the load became heavier.

So as a manga reader there is one detail I like about these first two episodes which wasn't emphasised, when Yuno said "not possible", he is saying "it is not possible Asta isn't given a grimoire" and that is the sole reason he stayed behind the grimoire tower, because he didn't for a second doubted that Asta would get a grimoire. He is just a huge baby who don't know how to communicate his emotions well (he isn't the emoting time if you haven't noticed) so Asta sort of have to guess what the other feels but after episode 2, Asta also never doubted that Yuno want anything but the best for him! I really like their brotherhood if you can't tell lol

It may contain some inconsistencies in animation, but hopefully that won’t discourage u from watching the series. Trust me! Among all new gen shonen, BC is probably the best. World building, power system, characters, pacing, story, plots, development, and twists. That’s what makes it the best!

Honestly when I first started Black Clover Asta's voice didn't even made me annoying I really liked it cuz it's one of his emotions nd I don't know why some people hate his character which is a part of him. The requirement for getting a Grimoire is to be of age and go to the location where they are housed ( basically the ceremony) He did that. He got no magical grimoire cus he has no magic to pull it to him. He fulfilled the requirement of getting a 5th leaf grimoire - he fell into true Despair (for a few seconds lol) I would like to believe if he had magic he would have gotten something else.

Youre a month in so you know but he chills on the yelling eventually, also they werent given a big budget at first but after a while they realized this show was their best doing show so they gave it proper funding, sadly this was like 80 eps in but youll notice the animation change. Also as always, the anime is censored a bit, no boobas for the thirsty fans.

The Asta Energy/Scream I can see how some may find it annoying, but I feel it conveys this energy, enthusiasm, conviction, and will power that is central to Asta's character, that is full of life overall that the original voice actor captures really well in my opinion, and it will get better as well. I have heard the dub version the dub VA just doesn't capture this, it sounds almost lifeless in comparison. You don't feel Asta's energy coming off the screen as much I feel.

One thing : the thing about multiple four leaf clovers , its mentioned wrongly , its very rare and only comes few times in generations and the persoj has to be op as hell , so its just some translation error and in the show itself we wont see many 4 leaf clovers..its like wizard king level book

Check out Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation But remember the main character, Rudy, is an absolutely horrible person, and that's the point. That he gets better as the show goes on.
