I like to think that asta screams so that people notice him, and as he gets stronger he stops screaming. It’s most likely because the VA got more used to the character but that’s just how I see it 😅

Yeah the VA overdid it, but it was his debut as a VA and he has gotten more popular since then, starring in Fire force and rent a girlfriend.

@@Torpid6441 it was his debut as a VA and he wasn't used to it/they told someone new to the VA scene to be loud. Which he overdid. That's why there is such a huge difference from starting Asta to Later Asta and why they let him redo the episode 1 scenes in the filler recap episode.

@@peacenotwar8610 actually this is a common misconception, the VA didn’t over do his lines, in the manga asta did scream quite a bit early on, but the creator even got annoyed with it and dropped it. So they were only doing what was in the original source

@@awsomedude23456 Asta is meant to be a loud protagonist throughout the show, just like other loud characters in other shows, the only difference I'm seeing between Asta and them is that Astas VA wasn't used to the role yet, while others had more experience playing loud characters. Why do people get annoyed at Asta and not other loud characters? The only difference that I see between them is experience level.

Oh dam yall finally joining the clover hype train. Personally I've enjoyed black clover manga from the first chapters during its early debut but the anime kinda felt annoying cause of asta's VA but got much better after the 3rd/4th arc. Only cause of the VA I originally dropped the anime then retried it dubbed because THE OPENINGS ARE FIRE. That being said while I always enjoyed black clover story I think everyone can agree it truly became it's own story by the 3rd/4th arc. Before that arc the main thing carrying black clover is the huge and understandable teamwork it does instead of friendship bullshxt. IMO it is the amalgamation for all the best parts of shounen mixing together to become the black clover it is today(yes ik this is cheesy).

The chain guy got scared from Asta grabbing his leg cuz Asta is even stronger than you guys think he is. Now some good news, this here was the MC's V.A. first real job so he starts getting better around Ep. 4 but the improvement is on the gradual side. So the shrill screaming will go away with time but Asta will never stop yelling since it's kinda his coping mechanism, he might seem a complete blockhead but he knows very well what his odds are.

Asta is not easy to listen at first...be he grows on you and the voice actor gets better after a few episodes ! Also the universe and power system is pretty interresting. That anime is like a mix of Bleach, HxH and YuYu...Author is a big fan of both author !

It's One of my favs And I get what you were talking about ( ASTA ) , I really appreciate him and his character. that's why although this show has a lot of dope and badass characters which I like , he is my favorite cuz of his hard work , believe and way of thinking/reacting ( no matter how helpless ,hopeless it gets ) in many situations And I don't think it's a spoiler but when that guy with the chains told ASTA he doesn't have any magic powers he LITERALLY meant it ( he has zero magic powers ) And when you asked why he was scared it was bcz of ASTA's pure strength.... let me just say ASTA is a beast 😏 And the female characters's writing is top tier from : backstory, development and strength/abilities, it's the best in a anime fr !!

Well, Bakugo yells. He does his lines intensely. Asta, at least the early episodes that he gets meme'd on for, just "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH" Which gets real old, especially if you're binging it. Later, it's a single moment, punctuating emotion. The early 6ish episodes, its like every other scene. Noticeably drops off after he joins the Bulls.
