It bothers me that they don't automatically show some of these angles in the romance scenes in the actual game instead of needing mods. It's not because I want to see the explicit angles for the purpose of "horny sexy times" or anything, but in this scene specificlly the intimacy means a lot more beneath the surface for him this time around. He is the one intiating this from an entirely different place psychologically. He's doing this and choosing to get physically close again purely from a place of choice and desire for once and there's no underlying motive to seek something else out of it in the end. There's no tactic or manipulation. The cradling of her cheek, the slow push of his knee to slide between her thighs to get even closer, the way he never pulls away from kissing her the whole time... it's so beautiful when mirrored back to everything he has been through up until this point. He's such a messy character but his arc was written so phenomenally no matter which way you chose to play him. Astarion and Shadowheart had the best character development and plots in this game IMO. I love him so much lol.

YESSS THANK YOU!!! This particular scene seemed SO RUSHED in the game, I was annoyed 😭 I wanted to explore it further so I bought this mod from Patreon, and explored every angle possible in slow-mo. No way they rushed SUCH an intimate moment and made it look like almost nothing, when this is so pivotal for Astarion’s character growth.

I don't really like the slow-quick jumps in edits like these, but I LOVE this whole premise. The voice-overs were so touching, and I love seeing those alternate angles. We get to really see how close Astarion comes to us, how intimately he touches us. It really puts into perspective how *distant* he was during the forest scene, you know?

I agree, he's come so far in this scene compared to the forest scene 🥺 SO WHOLESOME!!! I tried to keep the slow-quick jumps to a minimum but this was recorded in slow-mo since I wanted to explore all the angles, so those jumps were a bit necessary in a few parts 😅 Not a fan of slow-quick jumps myself haha

I think part of the reason for the quick cuts is because when using mods to get these alternate angles, one thing you're forced to see is how the lighting and animation sharply changes depending on how the developers actually animated the scenes. Lights jump around, characters are on the ground one moment, floating the next. Subtle things when put together in their canon scenes, but when using a mod, its really all over the place. So the quick cuts are a must unfortunately.

This is soo beautiful, I wish I find someone so gentle like him, leaving the fact that he have some "red flag" lines, I think it's normal because in some way it was part of him and it's difficult change it, but he even that, he's good, a good and cary person, he's beautiful. If the majority men were like him, the world would be a better place. The standarts thanks to him are high now, and that's have to be like this, someone who care about you and treat you well even if he's mad, and viceversa. Everyone deserves respect and care. The edit it's so fucking beautiful, thank you for uploaded it.

I think it’s perfect with the ascended line 🥰 Astarion is no saint in my books, even he’s a spawn. His character has a touch of wickedness and the way many people portray him to be a sweetheart if he’s not ascended makes me a bit disappointed. I had to add the ascended line to balance his sweetness. Spawn Astarion is a perfect mix of good and bad.
