Why can't our TAV hug him after, all he's gone thru. As he has embraced our Heart's... I always wondered why, after the Ritual TAV can't let him know, that they truly love him for the beautiful being she knows he is, he just had to see it for himself. Without a reflection, he isn't able to, till he is truly freed from his abusive past, and finally his abuser's. Caz's castle is proof that it is one huge coffin, where the dead remain that way. Astarion deserves much more, and better then even what TAV wants of him. And if they truly cared about him, they could see beyond they're own selfish ambition, and let him gain more then what Caz had failed to see. The sun light may have warmed him, till you came along, to show him, you believe in him, and knew he deserved so much more, then he was robbed of so long ago. Still that young elf lad, who once knew what preciouseness life could hold, and that he couldn't live forever trapped as a creature that can't love. Only the monster he was told he might be. To even turn on TAV who was naive, and couldn't see what they would do, to a truly magnificent person, Astarion just wants to be accepted as. The warm heart beats he is freed from the bonds that only held him, caged for so long. Only to finally momentously be able to breathe again the breath of relief, love, and the knowledge that TAV truly understands him, and sacrificing everything to truly have his back, deeply routed scars, and all, says a lot about the character, we created from the beginning of the who they are, and more importantly can be, for another. You are asked Who are you... But TAV never is asked Who are you now? Or Who are you to them? A reflection on Humanity as a flawed creature. What makes us feel? What makes us happy? What can we do, better, then what was before? Astarion is such a beautiful example of learning about himself, and knowing, and growing, and finally being able to accept the beautiful being he knows is there, he was blind, couldn't see a reflection, till TAV has the opportunity to reveal it to him. And to show him, that he deserves to know what it is to be truly loved, and worth so much more then scars, from the past. Thru the journey together, TAV can show him, that he can be better then a selfish idiot Tyrant can be. That he can love everything and anyone. That TAV would know him so well, they have nothing but admiration for all he has faced, and yet over come. TAV is the one who has been the being, to help them up when they are down. That is a true leader. Not a Hero, Palidin, Rogue, Ranger, Warrior, Sorcerer, Warlock, Cleric, Druid, Bard... None matter's When you have no idea who you are, or can still be. They deserve happiness, We all do... Astarion Spawn Is the one with the most important statement at the end. And It is in us all, to make this something Real. We deserve something, real and beautiful Darlin's, much better and more then we had, and may have. Astarion shows us, that it is so easy to slip, and loose ourselves. We should all turn away from what others see in us, and look deep within, and love the beautiful being, who has been silenced, and in pain for too long. Astarion given the chance can see TAV And can see himself, the amazingly fun loving beautiful being, he was meant to be. And TAV is the incredible being who knew it, all along. That's who you are, TAV. That's what the journey was all about. That thru our past nightmares, there is the warmth from the heart of someone, who knows you, and will go to the end with you, to fight the true monsters that haunt us, and our strength to survive together share our hopes, our dreams together. You, are not alone. None of us are. TAV stands as the reflection of those they meet. Who you are, depends on who you see. Astarion may not be able to see his own reflection, but TAV show's him, it doesn't matter, because they know he's so much better then what he wants to see, he hates himself, but TAV let's him see so much more, thru the eyes of the one who truly cares about you. You just have to let yourself thru the darkness see it too. ❤️‍🩹🗡️🗡️ 🩸

We can hug him in the Epilogue. this is the callback to the confession scene where he tells us that he wants something real.
