Hi Astar, thank you so much for sharing the knowledge and what a perfect timings to see the green arrangement as its all coming back again. Even though it was uploaded 3 years ago, I'm seeing it again from center pieces to bridal bouquets. The best part about your tutoring is that, that its not fussy and longer and it's easy to follow the instructions and not stuck with only and only fresh flowers but you also teach how to arrange it with artificials. Not everyone can afford fresh flowers all the times, sometimes they wanted to see their creations longer then couple of weeks. Sometimes the weather plays a role not to grow certain flowers or foliages in that area. Your consideration of requests and making a videos for people of every budget, from small arrangements to an elaborate ones shows how much you care for your viewers. Plus the other things that you teach besides flower arrangements, so everybody gets variety of things. I'm very glad that I stumbled on one of your videos one day and now I'm a subscriber and loyal follower of your channel. Thanks again for all your teachings.

Can i ask something? Shall we cut the foam before r after its soaked to water? Does it matter? Why?
@AstarsPlace4 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you for reaching out. It is best to soak the foam before your cut to fit your container. As an aside, when soaking the foam, fill a large container with fresh cold water and drop the blocks into this water. Don't push it down into the water, just let it soak and float. As it absorbs the water it will slowly sink, and this is when you know it's ready for use - fully saturated all the way through. Hope this helps, Astar

Beautiful but where do we put the flowers with so much foliage?!
@AstarsPlace10 ай бұрын
Hi Sally, that tutorial was to explain the basic fundamentals of forms, textures, combinations, transition & colour etc in a floral composition/design. When all these forms come together, it creates a visual picture that stimulates the eye. You are correct, there is a lot and your question, where do the flowers go, is a great question. For a round design, you would use less foliage and then incorporate the flowers down in amongst the foliage. If you look at my other tutorials, I go on to explain how this works when applied to other designs with different foliages & flowers & the of course working in different containers. The other tutorial that has helped many is the Fundamentals of colour. If you need further clarification, please don't hesitate to direct message me to my @astarsplace instagram. Warm regards Astar

Hi Anne-Renee, I have what they call in the floral trade, floral snips which cut through both fresh stems & if the wire isn't too thick - wire. For really strong then I use side snip which you can get at the hardware store. Tip, if you get stuck, just take the artifical stem to the store and do as I do, ask a kindly assistant what they recommend. Hope this helps, Astar
