Would you recommend the Fiio M11 Pro or AK SR25? My main use will be using streaming services. If the sound quality is better than Fiio and Amazon HD and Tidal work ok on this device then I would prefer the SR25

Nice reviews, Glad I found this channel as I was about to purchase an M11pro to pair with Campfire Audio Polaris. Question now is what DAP would you recommend for someone wanting to drive the Polaris while being able to support Tidal/Spotify Downloads? Seems like download support for Astell&Kern is more of a grey area compared to Fiio. Willing to spend more for a simple UI, good sound and compliment nicely with IEMS like the Polaris.

Great video. It took me a bit to get used to the tilted screen, but in the end I’m enjoying this DAP with my new Andro 2020s through the balanced connection. Quite a number of people mentioned the Andromeda sounds the best coming out of a 1.6ohm output and I agree. The balanced connection on this player has a much better amp built in, broader soundstage and blacker background. I hear 0 hiss (to my ears anyway).

Definitely between 1 and 2 ohms is a sweet spot for the Andro. I like 1.3 ohms with the Andromeda on a Cowon R2, and the SR25 is also an excellent pairing since the noise floor is so much lower!

If you mean wireless earbuds, just buy a less expensive DAP. Anyway you don't take advantage from a better performance with wireless earbuds or any really cheap quality in ear.

We do not think it would be wise to wait for it. On the other hand, we did notice that the Hong Kong company PW Audio now makes a good 2.5 to 4.4mm adapters specifically for AK players: www.mtmtaudio.com/products/pw-audio-4-4mm-female-to-2-5mm-3-5mm-male-adapter-for-ak-astell-kern-audio-digital-player-dap Interestingly this adapter uses the 3.5mm adapter for ground reference, and the whole adapter fits very securely as a result of having these two points of contact.
