Yes, they are unbelievably good. As others said, this is an "older" video, Hal-Ca (Haruka Noma) was just 15 in this video. She's 19 now and gotten even better and better. Bassist Miyu and drummer Mio are indeed brothers. So if you like to go on, "Dawn" is an absolute Must-see, or chose "Church" for a mesmerizing experience. Thanks 🤘🏻🙂

When she was 12, already played Rising Moon at "Music Revolution" Japan's largest music contest. Search "HAL-CA「Rising Moon」9th九州・沖縄FINAL STAGE【優秀賞＆オーディエンス賞】", you will be stunned cause even younger kids dominated other musicians.

This video was recorded around Haruka's 15th birthday, but she was barely 12 when they wrote the song. If you want to hear what she sounded like at 15, listen to "Dawn", which is probably my favourite song of theirs. Or to see how progressive she had gotten by 18, try anything something from their most recent album, like "Church". It's some mind blowing stuff!

The power trio of Asterism is Haruka (aka Hal-Ca) on guitar, Miyu on 7string bass, Mio on drums, three prodigies and Hal-Ca is a beast on guitar been active since was 10 years old and began composing songs at 11. Got to see them live back in 2019 when they came to the SXSW music festival in Austin, Tx. and they blew us all away I went off and bought all of their EPs and albums and they are all phenomenal. Another guitar prodigy who is much younger is from Indonesia Ayu Gusfanz also began at 10 years old and began composing at 11, she is 17 years old right now and has some amazing songs. Both of these two young ladies have covered many of the greats of the past including Yngwie Malmsteen and make it look so easy just phenomenal talent that is out in the world. It's funny you mention Joe Satriani because both Hal-Ca and Ayu do love Satriani and John Petrucci

maybe there is hope for rock music. The "youngness" still comes through in the raw sound, but the riffs come from decades and decades of rock guitar. They do rock, and if they get a good singer, or some guest vocalists -- and stay together -- they're ready. I hope audiences their age are ready.

Thanks Nick , Asterism have been together about six years now ! Hal-Ca ( Lead Guitarist ) Is 16, Miyu 7 String Bass is 17 and the drummer is 19 in this video ! They are an instrumental band mostly but have tried some singers ! Their newest video " unravel " OMG I think Hal-Ca is 19 now ! Thanks for giving them a shot =) Great Reaction

Haruka had only had about 5 1/2 years playing under her belt at this point! She got her first guitar at age 10 (2012) and was introduced to brothers Miyu and Mio at a music festival when she was 11. Unreal, right?🤯💪🏻🤘🏻

HaL-Ca is probably the fastest female shredder in Japan . Some call her Steve Vai 's Granddaughter . Bucket Head was so impressed with her that he played a couple of songs on their Album .

MIYU (bass) and MIO (drums) are brothers, and Haruka (HAL-CA) is from another planet. : ) Fortunately, no one has ever told her that a Yamaha Pacifica is not a traditional Heavy Metal guitar. The first full Asterism album 'Ignition' is full of relatively traditional heavy metal like this song. Executed at the highest level. Their last two releases, 'GUERNICA' (2020) and 'GUERNICA + a' (2021) are more progressive. The follow up is going to be a Japanese anime x metal cover album titled "Animetic", to be released on September 9th, 2022. They each chose favorite anime themes to "Asterism-ize".

They have released three songs from their forthcoming album "Animetic". All three showcase Nal-Ca's amazing talent and versatility. She can not only shred but also play blues, jazz and modern guitar styles with the same skill. Miyu just dropped a bass cover of Polyphia's GOAT a day or two ago.

Seems like a lot of people would've suggested them by now with all the Yes, Genesis, Tull, ELP, Gentle Giant, and the like you've done.
