HIS?! HE?! LOL! I saw these kids in person in LA before the Pandemic. I dragged a couple guitarists with me. We stood not but an arms length away from *** HER *** with our mouths agape in stunned shock. *** SHE *** dominated that stage like any of the greats. Her stage presence is something to behold in person. I only play drums, but watching her handle the strings on that guitar was one the greatest experiences.

Ok I'm awake now! Jeezus. Love that pinch squealin. Yes please bust out the Conk and show it off! I've never played a 7 string bass outside of a music store and it feels like a harp. Crazy. Also heard the Satriani in that.

CLOSEST to playing a 7 string bass for me was picking up a buddies who was playing the same festival gig as we were and WOW it was so STRANGE for me... I WISH I could play bass with 7 strings BUT I am NOT a great bass player, I hold my own and that is it! I did have a fretless bass for several years and sold it when I stopped playing 24yrs back. David PROPS on the 7 string!
@brucenadeau59203 жыл бұрын
@better red what song is that? I LOVED my fretless, it was my first bass and bought it at a pawn shop. My buddy who taught me the basics of guitar taught me to play the bass as well, and I miss that bad boy... WHY I ever sold it.. My buddy literally STILL trashes on me to this day for selling it.

Small correction. Hal ca wrote this song when she was 12 . The group got together that same year . They recorded this on their 2nd EP when she was 14 and shot the video the next year . Still blows my mind . Ow also everyone thinks Hal ca is her stage name. Hal ca is pronounced Haruka . The same as her given name. In japan L is pronounced like ru . There is no L in Japanese. Hal ca is the english spelling of her name.

Wow the last song I heard from them there was more of a Satriani feel to the guitar, here I think more Vai. Like Extreme too yeah. That bass is still Flea influenced. Those drums are very punkish/old school sound, Pau or Keith Moon take your pick. But, or maybe because of the different sounds, the feel is unique. Great, and great reaction! I had to look twice myself, to see if the guitarist was a girl. And kudos to you for bowing to a kid on bass!

You see the string work and Hal-Ca and Miyu are awesome in this video!! No one blends Metal/Rock/Jazz like these kids and until recently they were fan supported (fans get the 1st album "Ignition" going). My only worry is they signed with Babymetal's label and I worry they will saddle them with a vocalist and limit their creativity as they are a trio in exchange for wider exposure and larger venue performances.
