ahhh...day 3, when your body realizes you have been sitting in a kayak for 3 days! Physically and then mentally, this is often the toughest day on a journey. I love the platform camps.

The platform camps look pretty cool. I’ve camped on the sand bars along Blackwater Creek in North Florida.

I’ve been kayaking a couple of times and done some bikepacking as well. This seems like a great way to combine the two hobbies of backpacking and kayaking. They have quite system at those camps. My biggest concerns would be the critters in the water like alligators and snakes. Do they have an app like FarOut for these trips?
@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING5 күн бұрын
There might be an app. But, I don’t know about it. We just had a general navigation app for the trip. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️

Nah thank ye...I ain't jumping in any river that is known to have alligators, no matter the time of year. 🤣 I could smell that mud at the lunch stop from here! 🤣 It is amazing how something as sparse as those river camp pavilions seem luxurious on this type of camp trip.
@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING6 күн бұрын
Appreciate you watching it Brad! Yeah, that mud was nasty. But, it was cool to find a place to stop for lunch. ✌️
@mountainsnmoore2566 күн бұрын
@ Oh, we’ve used such places more times than I can count! I know the feeling. Gotta get outta that boat for a few minutes, just for a break. I get it!
@PSnGa6 күн бұрын
What dates did you do your paddle and did you just crash at the various pavilions on the trip or officially check in buy passes & all that? Or is that not required at most of the camps you stopped at (or tried to stop at! LOL )
@ASTHECROWFLIESHIKING6 күн бұрын
We went sometime in September. Yes, we paid for the river camps. You make reservations. Thanks for watching it. Crow✌️
