If there is a heaven for me when I die, it's a place called "1985" where every year is 1985 in a small town with a movie theater, arcade, and burger joint that's open 24/7, and every day is Friday and Saturday. And there a radio tower pumping out the Top-40 during the day and then tunes like this video at night.

Everybody take a look at the description, this is what a good tracklist looks like: 1. In the description, not down in the comments somewhere 2. has timestamps 3. Soundcloud / Bandcamp links Take notes everybody, Asthenic knows how it's done!
@JoeBissell6 жыл бұрын
honestly tho
@Raylen526 жыл бұрын
I agree with you, but it could be better tho. In my opinion there should be two tracklists the upper with timestamps and second tracklist with links because you need to scroll down trough this long list when you want to skip track.
@PascalSommerMovies6 жыл бұрын
I like your idea, but I think for anything below 40 tracks the scrolling won't be too bad. Also, having everything in one place puts more emphasis on the soundcloud and bandcamp links, which makes it clear that while it's great that we're all here chilling to this music, we should really go support the artists as well. If the links are in a second list below, people might be more likely to ignore them.
@Asthenic6 жыл бұрын
that's why I put only SC and BC links, otherwise the list would be too long and other links can be found on the SC profiles. And I think putting the links in a second list below would make them go unseen... At least that's what I thought for myself when seeing this on other channels

I get nostalgic at radio towers, especially the ones with the blinking red lights at the top. One winter night in 2006-7 as my family was packing up to move I stared out my bedroom window one last time. See my apartment was mostly surrounded by woods so there wasn't much light pollution, anyway as I was staring out I saw this lonely radio tower, just flashing away. About 20 minutes later I was called as my family locked the door one last time. Till this day when I am driving at night and see one of these radio towers I think about that moment.

Then we would come back to the exact moment we left, and our lives would go on like nothing happened. I really wish I could do that. Perhaps because you've become so disenchanted with the world as you know it today, even thought you're only very young. you wish and hope for something more, something better that once existed that you never had the chance to experience, but long to be able to. well my friend, I dont blame you. I'm a lot older than you at 58, and was lucky enough to have lived back in those days you yearn for. and while they still had their problems, things were so much better in so many ways. I wont go into all of it, it would take too long, but all I will say to you, is that if you long for something more, then set your sights on it. this world is no longer the place it once used to be and that is why, even with all the advances we have made over the last 30 years or so we wish we could go back, and for good reason. perhaps it should be a turning point and a wake up call for us all.

By far one of THE best synth mixes out there. It's crazy how every song can make you feel nostalgic without you even knowing why. Well done.

@@christurgeon6277 I finally woke up after 30 years drinking last 4th of July. I wish I would have done it 25 years ago but better now than never. Anybody looking to do the same, l suggest you try it! Life is actually life now. I prey for others to wake up.

Exactly how I feel when listening to these kinds of tunes. I was born in 85 so I didn't quite get the experiences from the 80s, more like the 90s, but somehow I relate to the 80s synth music. Cheers!

@@alexandru.diaconu I was born at the end of the 80s, so most of my memories are from the 90s also. But, like you, I always find myself in places like this. The 80s and 90s kind of blended together in many ways. They had a very similar feel - the 90s were just a little more high-tech. We're reminiscing more than just a decade - we're reminiscing an exciting way of life... a lost way of life...

This..reminds me of an era i only got to catch glimpses of..born early 90s so a lot of 80s stuff was already out the door vut we always held onto many relics from that day..plus my grandma loved her old shows like full house..always wondered what it would of been like...

A place where I can close my eyes and feel the sun. It's just at enough and I'm in the pool on a float. The light breeze gently pushes me around the water and I drift across the pool. The sun peeks in and out of the clouds and the red under my eyelids fade from dark to light. The sound of rattling leaves and water droplets is all I hear. This is peace. This is home. This is my happy place where I belong and no one can take it from me. My personal heaven on Earth. Where my spirit is calm, the noise is gone and the anxiety of life escapes even for just this little while. Thank you life, for bringing me this part. Such a small piece of what this world is that can be so spectacular. Thank you for breathing me into life and allowing me to experience your wonder.

This kind of music always brings me back to a simpler, happier time back in highschool. I remember talking to this girl on discord all the time, we would constantly send each other messages and stuff but I never got to meet her really as she was from the other side of the planet. Fast forward some time forward and she dissapeared from all social medias. I still have all our silly chats saved but cant bring myself to look at them. Man, I miss those days

Wow i first listen to this 2 years ago when i was living out my car and working at the airport. Id was living out of gyms and working on my business in the mean time. It was winter time and the nights were cold and id have a blast sittin in me sleep bag wondering about it all. This mix was my go to at the time. And listening to it again years later reminds me of that time period of my life. What a stange feeling of nostalgia. It feels so long ago but it was only just last night. 😢

28:48 SelloRekT /LA Dreams - See It In Your Eyes - love that heavy bass note on the downbeat every 4 measures. "BOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUWWWWWM" An absolute perfect song to go with an 80s romance montage. Dude in a red sleeveless shirt is drivin around on a California coast in a convertible Ferrari with a babe who has a big curly brown hairdo . They both wearin huge sunglasses. Close up on the stick shift (with her legs in the background of course), he downshifts from 4th to 3rd and guns it, switch to camera mounted on the front of a car following them to get the shot of the Ferrari speeding off...pure 80s.
