This guy is the heart of the wailers. Many non musicians wont understand how. But believe me, without his talent, there would be no bob marley and the wailers.

I shook Aston's hand @ a Wailer's show back in August of '07 in Richmond...the band I roadied for opened for them. I said..."Aston...thank you, you are one of my main influences on bass" He said..."Seen brother"...with a smile and followed Al Anderson off the stage....

The greatest bass guitarists at that time. He has created with heavy talented I ever seen in reggae music industry. All we should know that at the group of the wailers all musicians are very talented, that's why Bob chose careful musicians whose came and replace the golden chances of Burnny and Tosh after separated from the group!! Viva forever Bob Marley

Bob Marley was a tremendous song writer and performer, but Family Man was the musical genius behind the success of The Wailers.

@@chemabm1939 Carly was awesome, but Family Man arranged all the music for The Wailers. Carly was the master of the one-drop, but Family Man took The Wailers to new heights.

I was shocked when I found out that this guy had the nickname ´´family man´´ because he had 53 children with some women, which I suggest was courageous or something close to irresponsible, I hope he was able to support them all, great bass player.
