@shanedoyle10573 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I hope the car industry comes full circle and we get back to coach building. These designs are timeless and with the progress of electrical power trains these days the possibilities are huge, no reason we couldn’t have electric DB5 to satisfy the environmentally conscious..
@ifmbm332b4 жыл бұрын
I used to frown upon reproduction Cobras and the like, but I'm starting to think it's a great idea to take some classics like this DB5 and go back into limited production- the originals of most of the great marques are so stratospherically expensive that even people that can afford to own them almost never drive them for fear of losing resale value. Nobody will ever see 99% of the great automobiles out on the road ever again. (except for Jay Leno, haha) I wish we could buy many of the greats once again- with subtle and sympathetic modern improvements such as abs, air bags, disc brakes, yet retaining most of the character that made them special in the first place. I can think of dozens of cars I would love to see again.......otherwise, all these cars are gone forever, hidden in some trust fund manager's 10-car garage under a blanket. Those cars are out of reach for nearly everyone and will never be affordable again.

And you now regret it? Although 1500 quid or even 1200 quid (as you so succinctly put it) in the 1970's was a considerable sum compared to today's values.

Should of included some dialogue as well as some recent shots of a more finished DB. Never mentioned how many are being made as well as the astronomical cost it will take in buying one of these beauties. Unfortunately true, it's being brought back so some rich guy can purchase and pretend to be James Bond..I think I'd be one of them if I had the cash.😜

You are jumping the gun here surely. These are one off handmade DB5s carefully crafted in a quite section of AM plant. The contemporary product line do not share the same production line. This is clearly understood by the layout and tooling.
