That would make a good F1 Safety Car, Aston already supply a pair sharing duty with the Mercs. Always a spare safety car at each Grand Prix. Maybe the drivers would then stop complaining the safety car is too slow.

It’s way too loud and extreme. And I’m not joking. It would make F1 cars look tame. Yes it’s not as fast, but the engine would make F1 cars look pathetic. F1 doesn’t want that. Also, it’s an extremely limited hypercar, so it’s not exactly available as it’s already sold out

It wasnt anything to do with Stroll buying and them going into F1. It was due to the collaboration between IMSA and WEC opening up the LMDh and LMH convergence to be BOPed together. The Valkyrie was to be sold as a customer car alongside the works teams to make back the cost of the development. With the cheaper option of LMDh being offered to run at Le Mans and in WEC, Aston Martin decided to pull the plug as it would not be cost efficient and pumping that much money into the WEC as well as F1 and GT racing without the customer buybacks could probably sink Aston Martin into the red AGAIN. The reason why 1100 horsepower at 11000 RPM is so impressive is because it's quantitatively more difficult to produce that power at that many RPMs than to produce them with two turbos at 8000 RPM.

I'm pretty sure the twin turbo V12 parts come from Mercedes. Aston wouldn't actually make and design their own engine, ESP with all the off the shelf options. They have been using Cosworth since the DB7 and still using them with the Valkyrie, so would be really surprised if it was an Aston engine designed and built from scratch.
