Looks alot better m8, iv gone with the black theme under the bonnet. I went with the direnza kit which is a metal crossover delete with built in maf sensor hole, a dry cone filter, a maf extension cable and a metal heat sheild which you will need to prevent heat soak that has a bracket that attaches the filter to the sheild so there's no wobble like with other kits, for £140 it's a steal for a well built kit with everything needed to fit

@@was6745it was off ebay just type in direnza air filter astra vxr or if you only want a heat sheild search for Courtney sport heat sheild but that is like 80 just for the sheild where as direnza do the whole kit for 140 with everything and it's good quality and bolts into place so it doesn't wobble around when driving like most crossover delete's

Good work mate. Sounds exactly as you'd expect to me so I'm sure your recirc is fine 👍 the standard map does have those boost characteristics but I don't think they're too bad even standard with a crossover delete and exhaust for more drama 😀

Good informative video mate! I had one of these not so long ago now, I’m sure I read on the forums that standard they do have flat spots though the rev range so I thought it was normal but it will be good to see if it does have a map!

Took my arctic vxr in for a dyno yesterday as i expected it to be mapped, made 222bhp and 290nm torque, now im concerned if its forged or not 😂 spoke to rusty autos about how to get it checked will book it with them at some point

Craig, could be the cam cover gasket weeping and when the radiator fan comes on, pushing the oil up the side making it look like its coming from the breather pipe. If so dont buy a cheapie get one from Courtney motor sport, its really good quality.

Yea that’s a possibility buddy just under the cam cover is bone dry it’s just wet by the breather pipe 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m gonna get Chris at wayside to have a look when I take it there and don’t worry I deffo won’t buy a cheap one will be a decent one from like U said Courtney or nevlock that old saying ain’t it but cheap buy twice that’s why I paid £30 for that one way valve thing as I wanted a decent one not a cheap chinesium one haha

The let and leh engines seem to breath quite heavy so the rocker cover does see some pressure and heat. I found the rockers warp so regardless of the new gasket they still weep. May well need a new cover, wouldn't bother second hand as it's hard to know if it's warped or not

Yea it’s not leaking from the cover it’s coming from that pipe 100% I have a feeling it’s goosed

@@Yodaracing1 tbf the stock ones are shit but the mtc ones are usually ok. Check the tube down to the crank isn't blocked with emulsified oil and crap.

Erm don’t quote me on this but I think the Sri parts are different to the vxr parts regarding size etc procedure will be the same though drop imperial performance a dm on Insta he will hook u up 🤙🏻

Do you rate the aem dry cone filter ? I've never really liked cone filters but mine has the pipercross panel filter and I've started having maf problems lately because it's oiled from factory it's either a cone filter or back to aem panel filter. Also I didn't know you could do a rear vac box delete would be interested on how you do it👍👍👍👍.

Yea I’ve ran aem filters in the past the corsa was running one when it was 300 never had any issues etc obvs if u don’t want the wooshy noise a panel filter is best for u and yea there are a few guides online on how to do it etc this was already done when I brought the car

The rocker cover gasket is prone to leaking. I changed mine and it stopped the leak

Erm it’s up to u mate both are very different cars however the focus is a lot more new so I imagine less miles on them etc

Yea mate they have forged pistons as Standard the weak point is the rods if to much torque is put thru them

@@Yodaracing1 defo yeah u will mate , cos mine was responsive with button on but when use some maps on ipf eds some maps are with added sport button and some maps that button makes no diff, once a thought my recirc valve was split took out was fine bought ebay special put yellow spring in as mine mapped made massive difference sound and feel when put in not sure how long they last hence bought 2 for 30 ebay just incase no good as some people say but good upto now and tricky fit grind 5mm allen key but worth try for 15 😁👍, arron unknown and fourcylinder performance youtubers are good for any help

A friend of a friend has just brought an astra vxr for 11k it's fully built 540bhp it made on the Dyno Garrett build swirl pot in the back stripped out I've been told it's mental fast but now he's thinking of moving it on already 🙈brought it for a daily 🤣🤣 what a wolly 😂😂 might be worth a bit of content my mates gonna bring him round so I can have a look IL let you know in due course ... It will be interesting to know why yours is lagging when it's been to wayside could be a sensor ?

Metal one way valve ebay 3.95 dont pay 18 for the gm one 15pound fake forge ebay recuirc Cam cover bolts 3.95 ebay , oil leaks from half moons side of cover not that pipe gasket is 8pound ebay rocker cover gasket but honest leak a year later still just way all the 2.0 ecotec have been nothn worry about , expansion tank tenner ebay ebay everything is cheap had mine 14 year the one good thing is parts cheap and easy to repair lol
