Starting to watch more and more of your battle reports. I love the amount of work you put into making your boards. This was also a very interesting battle since I'm a guard player who is slowly building my second army or harlequins. P.S: do you maybe have a recomendation of a way to make roads for urban battle maps :)

I enjoy seeing people bringing good guard lists, a lot of the time I see people bring a kinda random combination of units. And guard really needs units that work together. Don't know other factions that well but their units seem more self contained.

Don't think you can use the -1 cp ability to use the same strat twice anymore. Only specific and 0 cp ones can (for example Overwatch for an Hexmark Destroyer of Heroic Intervention o a Maulerfiend).

Great game!. Love to see my beloved Eldar. Great screening with all those Chimeras and guards, protecting the big guns from serious damage. I feel Eldar would have benefit greatly from a Tank killer option. Also it's true you rolled way too many 1s for wounds when it came to vehicles.

Comments: I love the sporting behaviour of your opponent, Luke. A snowy landscape would be more fitting for both armies (specially for Guard). Still an edlar army and no striking scorpions in the scorpion channel >_< Maybe are you wainting for Karandras that is rumoured (Valrak) that would be renewed early next year?. Finally: I'm missing a battle report that involves the dark kin (suggestion) 😉

just a heads up for unexploded you do not actually need to control the objective to get the points just for it to be at the ranges near your opponets deployment zone you just have to control it in your shooting phase to move it so moving it is almost always a good idea if you can. also as much as I always want guard to win anytime you must have visibility to get our lethal hits so you never get it on indirect shooting but they do work for overwatch now and tank commanders don't get it either as they lack the 'squadron' key word. So would have charged and tank shocked the melee jet bikes turn 1 to help protect the artillary pit in the back.

This was the first game prior to a phoenix lord meetup at SSWG, I learned about the artillery and tank commander later, but you are right about the lethal hits and the tank commander.

I did make rolls for hazard checks, in that game the dice were very lucky. The guard managed to not kill themselves with their own weapons

@@Black_Blow_Fly With his destructive potential he could wipe all of Imperial Guard tanks on turn 3 if he roll his dice at least on decent lvl instad of constant two or snake eye (and i mean all rolls including damage roll - put constant 3 wound on bright lance is embarrassing)
