As someone who has fallen out of love with the campaigns and was not that good at multiplayer, it still brings me such joy the CA could bring to life factions like the Chaos Dwarfs and just make things really so interesting while still upgrading factions like the Empire. Really is a testament of their commitment despite their misstep with Shadows of Change that they thankfully corrected.

Frankly not the scariest empire build, feels like it lacks a lot of AP, especially since the RoR train is basically an autotake for chorfs in land battles. Conquest meta isn't that different buildwise. Chaos dwarves are possibly the worst faction at handling kite so war wagons even in their nerfed state are extremely annoying to deal with. Bull centaurs can't catch them and wolf raiders get peeled by empire knights too fast to hold them down. And both regular cannons and hochland long rifles have to be dealt in melee because as Turin said, chorfs lose artillery duels to all other gunline factions.

The empire player overspecced against a taurus lord I think. With that amount of archers he should have at least went double nets. Personally I think Hochlands are better, they might not have the same burst damage but they have higher range and can put a dent into an armor push while huntsmen can't do anything. Stank is an interesting spec against an armor push, but risky against CD artillery and guns. I would prefer going wider and add some grenades to the mix for infantry clearing, maybe even a greatsword.

Deathshreikers on multi shot hits both the cannon models and destroys them as well as the crew, they outrade all artillery if used this way with infernal engineer reload skill upgrade

Hob Goblin archers are also a good tech against healing due to their cheap mass fire damage on their ammunition!

you definitely want a character on bale taurus against dwarfs, and I would probably bring a bit less bows and add in a couple gun units, and have 1 dual axe centaur render mixed in.

Yeah it is odd that they decided that "everyone else is right-handed let's make a unit left-handed. Hmm.. those big ass bulls seem suitable let's pick those". I think it is a good thing to have more variety of unit models but the bullcentaurs just seem random to me

Probably a noob question, but how come the Empire player is only using units like regular spears and huntsmen and empire knights? I don't do MP but play campaigns on Legendary and I would personally consider these units as poor value for money.

The empire needs enough quantity and mass to protect their missile core. Spears in MP are dirt cheap with good MD and are designed to hold the line long enough for the carry units to accrue value. The Huntsmen are a tech against a lot of the big monsters that the Chawi bring since Bull Centaurs and Taurus’s don’t have the best armor. Empire Knights are similar to Spears in that they’re relatively cheap and their high armor and mass makes them good roadblocks against enemy mobility.
