Finally managed to watch it fully and omg my PC used to crash a lot too ^^' that's why I always save my stuff like WIP1 WIP2 and so on because even if the latest file gets corrupted I still have the last version of it to re-continue with. Good you were able to kinda restore it! I would have buried myself in a blanket for the next few weeks, crying ; _ ;

I love your style! For when you're adding the initial colors do you make a copy of the grey filler and color over it, leaving outlines and shading on a different layer, or do you use gradient maps to go from greyscale to color?

Curious, why did you change the curves(I think that's what you did- if not -oops) to make the dark colors lighter? around 6:30

Just a personal preference! I don't like too many dark, flat shadows in my work so I sometimes use the curves tool to lighten up certain areas. Doesn't make sense in a realistic setting but I like what it does to the values and colors (:
