Thanks Rowdy. Feels great to be at the end of the process at last!

Be careful with the van, you’ll get lazy 😉 We swapped summit tent camping for Campervan trips years ago and we’re now twice as large!

Done a good job! What I had the time and capability!
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
Honestly not difficult mate, just do your research, watch others on KZbin, and have a go!
@chrisarnold47092 жыл бұрын
Ah, maybe! Did the back of my landrover but that was quite simple and no heater or major electrical work but that's sadly long gone....and the Mrs might be a bit upset about getting a van!
@kierzzy2 жыл бұрын
Awesome stuff mate, just recently bought a LWB Renault Trafic, started looking for inspiration on KZbin and stumbled across your channel… three hours+ later I’ve watched from start to finish! Electrical side is a little daunting but sure I’ll get there in the end. Would like to know the rough cost of everything all in so I know what to expect as I’m planning on doing near exactly the same as you have
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
Morning matey, thanks for the kind words. Total cost of the conversion worked out somewhere between £5-6k not totally sure because there are lots of little things that needed buying that didn’t go on the list, but it’s around that figure.

@@WildAstro brilliant mate thanks, saved a few Bob in man hours too I suppose 😂 where is the R&R bed from?
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
@@kierzzy yes mate, definitely saved money by doing it myself although there are one or two places I wish I had some help. The R&R bed is from a company called Roadrunner conversions I believe. In all honesty mate I’ll never buy from them again. Nothing but a string of broken promises and disappointments.
@kierzzy2 жыл бұрын
@@WildAstro oh dear, that’s a shame! There is quite a few places do them online but looking at £950 minimum which is a bit of a stretch on the budget at the moment!
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
@@kierzzy yeah, that’s why I went with them. Think I paid £800 for it, but to be honest I would happily have paid more for a better buying experience.

Great videos, where did you get the rear floor trim and edge trim between van and cabin
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian I got it from a lady in the Vivaro Traffic Campervan group on Facebook called Jeanette Douglas, but sadly she passed away last year. Her husband is continuing to take orders for the pets though I can’t remember his name. If you ask around in the group you should get an answer, but tread lightly, it was only just before Christmas that she passed I believe.

Did you get the B pillars from same site

Hi mate good job , what connector’s did u use.?
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
Hi pal, at the moment they’re just Wago connectors but may swap them out for a more permanent type of connector at some stage.

Hi Do you have a link to the chequer plate trims for the back and side door? Thanks Pete
@WildAstro2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately mate, the lady who used to make them sadly passed away last year. If you go on the Vivaro Trafic Campervan group on fb and have a search for checker plate accessories you should eventually find her husband, who is still making them. Hope that helps.
@petebyard19542 жыл бұрын
Oh no, that's terrible! Thanks very much for the reply. I'll have a look for him on fb. I've enjoyed watching your van build videos whilst doing our own van. Cheers P
