Team Asobi, the developers behind Astro Bot, confirmed in an interview that the bosses you fight in Astro Bot are the siblings of the bosses you fight in Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, the game that came before this and Astro’s Playroom. This was made to explain the minor design differences between the boss fights like Falcon McFly’s different feather colors or Wako Tako’s different biome preference. The most notable differences in design are easily Space Bully Nebulax’s differences between his Rescue Mission design. Astro Bot’s Nebulax has a large alien in a UFO and a more careless bullying behavior, while Rescue Mission has a significantly larger alien (around 1.5 times Nebulax’s size) with several warts/pimples on his back, and a more serious and mature attitude that feels less like a jerk and more like a serious galactic threat. Also, saying that the baby aliens are Nebulax’s kids implies that he pulls bitches, and we both know that won’t happen
