I like the Train at Minute Maid, but nothing will ever beat the Astrodome Homerun Show.

even the astrolite homerun show is seen at Minute Maid Park, along with the Train at Minute Maid.

Not an Astros fan but it's a shame this wasn't what the fans in Houston got to celebrate to. Congrats to all the long time Astros fans.

Only problem is that the Astrolite scoreboad is long gone it was disassemble back in 1988 to make room for 15,000 more seats which was sad. I hope when disassemble it that they placed it in a safe place to be used again.

Astros had some boppers the first half of the seventies, but wasn't there a year in there where they hit 23 home runs at home for the season? Might have been 1979, the Jose Cruz/Enos Cabell/Terry Puhl era. Cruz led the team with 14, the only Astro player in double figures. Scoreboard didn't go off very much that year.

The Astrodome lost its character when the that display was removed for that jerk Bud Adams. They did that to keep the Oilers from moving,Adams moved them anyway.
