Yes, the kali-yuga is normally suppose to have a duration of 432 000 years. This kali-yuga is special, because of Lord Caitanya appearance 500 years ago...this happens once in a day of Brahma. So, now is a 10 000 years gap in kali-yuga and satya yuga is taking place...the age of spiritual advancement (not degradation which is happening in normal kali-yuga). After this period (of 10 000 years) again Kali Yuga will progress till the Lord Kalki will come at the end of it and totally destroy demons.

The Holy Science written by Swami Sri. Yukteshwar ji only talks about a 24000 year mahayuga, a 12000 year descending, and 12000 year ascending arc. We are in the ascending arc..already about 300 years in the Dwapara yuga. Presenter talks about 25000 plus year mahayuga, still in Kali Yuga, etc. inconsistent facts with the book. Does not provide any reference to his data. Do your own research.

Well, he cites Yukteshwar, but according to Yukteshwar, the cycle turned around 499 A.D. (Ascending Kali Yuga starts, and lasts approximately 1200 years), and we are already in Dwapara Yuga. If you put the beginning of the Piscean Age also there (as Yukteshwar did), and correlate it with jyotish software, you would end up with 274 A.D.

In Indo-tibetan mahayana buddhism also appears that scheme of degeneration and regeneration of the yugas but in hinduism in some texts it shifts right away from Kaliyuga to Satyayuga.
