Thank you very much! I see a lot of people comment about the lag, but it's honestly not that bad considering this is a completely different technology. We live in a very fast pace, world and people expect things to be immediate. However, I'm trying to slow down myself and be more conscientious of the effort that I do put into things. Learning to slow down is a good thing in my opinion and this device helps me do it. If you have any other questions let me know thank you very much!

Definitely appreciate the demonstration of the lag between the keystoke and when it shows up on the display. I haven't seen a reviewer do that before, despite their mentioning the delay.

Same. I’m watching all the reviews I can find, but people type really slow, talk over it, or only do one sentence. This was so helpful in hearing the keyboard and seeing the lag!

I know this video is over a year old and maybe you already know how to use Sprinter, but I think sprinter is more for people who haven't decided to buy a Freewrite device just yet. I think if you already have a Freewrite device, you won't need Sprinter anymore (unless there's a situation where you forgot your Freewrite typewriter). At least that's my opinion 😊 I tested Sprinter out yesterday and the way the site works really helped me sit down and get writing. It actually helped me focus. I personally love it! 💖

That's awesome! To be honest I haven't played around with it I'm assuming it's a program that you use with your smart phone or computer right? Or you something called a light phone predominantly and an iPhone to film and check social media. Sounds like an awesome Program!

Thank you so much for the comment! So I still use it often and I honestly love it. I'm a huge fan of this device. I really do wish I would've gotten the model above it specifically to Hemingway but I'm obsessed I know people leave and a lot of negative comments about these devices but for me, it works exactly as intended. Highly recommend!

At first a lot of the negative comments had me scared to even do further research, but I've been really liking the positive comments and feel that it may work for me. I also think it's likely the fact that the device is niche/expensive and they're still working out kinks. I also get the feeling that some people are purchasing it even though it may not exactly be the right product for what they need.

glad to see someone review the freewrite travel and showing the delay. Everyone said there is a delay, and I was not sure if i would be bothered by it but i definitely dont mind how the delay is now that i have seen it.

How many drafts can you have on the Post Office? Once you transfer it to Post Office, is it removed from the device automatically? This has been the best review that I've viewed that helped me. Thank you!

Thanks for this review. I think no backlit display is what holds me back from taking the plunge. I'll continue to hold out for a revision down the line...fingers crossed. Happy new year!

Hi Alex, thank you for your comment! I definitely feel like there will be an updated version of this device that will include a backlight at some point because it’s such a highly requested feature. It doesn’t bother me because of my light sensitivity but I can see how it would be a deterrent for others interested in this product. Thank you again and happy new year to you as well!!!!

The price is just to insane, I think 200usd would be a fair price.

The price is definitely high, but I honestly think it’s because it’s a small company and they aren’t making these on a mass scale. I heard there is a mid range coming that will be around that price, so I’m curious to see what that entails.

@@MeetBrookee - I bought my Neo in 2007 for 200 USD and thought I'd paid too much back then, but I've had it for 16 years. It still works like new. If the freewrite is that durable then it'll be worth it. My gut tells me it's not.

Unfortunately, I can’t say if it’s worth it or not, I do use this device often, but I do think the plastic body and the keys after a while may start to wear however, as of right now I think it’s a good product 16 years is hard to compare to though.

Is it just me, or does the screen on the Traveller look REALLY small in comparison to the other 3rd gen freewrite?

Hey Tammy! Honestly this is the only one I have used, so I don’t have another to compare it to. When I first got this device I was like “ehhhhhh it’s a little small” but I quickly got used to it. Aren’t they coming out with another version of this soon? I think it’s supposed to be more economical?

@@MeetBrookee The freewrite Alpha looks like an old school AlphaSmart, but without a protective clamshell lid like the Traveller. The screen on the Alpha model looks narrower rather than smaller.

@@tammydreamwriter2877 oh that’s interesting I have to dive into those devices at some point. This is my first type of e ink drafting device, I’m enjoying it so far. I think they do need a wider range of products to really get their product out there.

@@MeetBrookee Currently they have two versions of the freewrite typewriter (black and a higher grade metal version), the Traveller, and the new Alpha model that is currently on pre-order but not out yet.

I wish they would have gone with a matte finish. The device itself is distracting by inviting the owner to clean it every five minutes. Great video though!
