great video, very fun to watch you struggle and easy to keep up with thanks to the editing! a few thingsabout your run: in the rock gym, machop probably wouldn't have outsped anyways, but using revenge guarantees you move second, so it was not the right play if you thought you would outspeed. the reason bubblebeam did so much to lucario in the fighting gym was its ability, torrent. the pinch abilities are very strong if you can set them up, and speedrunners use them often to get KOs otherwise impossible, you should make more use of these abilities when you're in tight spots. gible is only found in the basement of the wayward cave, accessible after strength in a different entry. bronzor was probably your only possible encounter there. after playing the game, cynthia is no joke. even if you made it through the e4 unscathed, i still think you would be severely underleveled. unless you're 80-90, i don't think it is even possible to be overleveled for that fight, even considering affection bonuses. altogether, awesome vid. i hope you try again, and have a little better luck! i'll sub so that i'm notified if/when that video comes out!

Really not sure how you're supposed to beat the pokemon league of this game WITHOUT over-leveling. Their pokemon have perfect IVs, full EVs, useful held items,and sometimes even hidden abilities. It's nuts.

I actually like these games for what they are. My main issue is how easy the entire game is, and then the gym leaders just skyrocket in difficulty out of nowhere. It’s like every trainer uses a Geodude, every encounter in a Geodude, and then the gym leaders have super diverse teams and movesets with competitive items 😂

Not trying to be mean because I don’t know if this is some how a step up from his usual gameplay, but he cheated in half of the gym leaders by being over leveled, he used a legendary and still lost, his dupes clause was all over the place sometimes he had it sometimes he didn’t and he lost tons of mons because he was lazy to level up and made dumb mistakes

I'd recommend going back to Chimchar for your next attempt (and other future attempts). The only other fire-type you can get in a BDSP Nuzlocke is Ponyta, so it makes the most sense from a team-building perspective and would provide some nice variety to your teams compared to Turtwig or Piplup.
