yup i had to take a leap of faith when i saw a message that said jump on that locked chariot part where you use the stonesword key in the beginning area. The good thing is that i didn't see a blood stain next to the message lol.

Elden Ring was my first From Software experience, I have since gone back and played everything...I even bought a PS5 to play the exclusives and the Demon's Souls remake by some other studio.. I'm so hooked, but Elden Ring was epic and I will cherish my first playthrough for all of time. It opened me to a new genre and I finally quit making excuses and got gud.

Between the other Souls games and Elder Scrolls, as far as their tone or style, Elden Ring has a lot of those elements except it takes me back more to 80s fantasy like The Never-Ending Story, Labyrinth (the one with David Bowie when he had what looked like a raccoon stuffed in his pants and that big hair), The Dark Crystal, and other fever-dream fantasy the 1980s did so well over traditional settings. I can't think of another game to make me so nostalgic for that era, and playing it makes me feel like I'm confronting the childhood nightmares those movies gave me. I'm a little late into it, watching long-play stuff in the background for that extra immersion while sitting here bummed my car's in the shop for days, but am loving it flaws and all, now slightly nowhere near as bummed -- and I'm definitely going to marathon long vids like these as much as I can in the meantime. So thanks! Then later, maybe I'm going to re-watch Labyrinth while thinking about the pros and cons of drug addiction, leaning on the pros... Then maybe I'll grow my hair out and blow-dry it into pure magnificence... Maybe I'll buy a pair of tights... I feel like a whole new world is opening up for me!

She keeps forgetting to pick up her runes when she dies. Always remember to pick up runes after you die. Four an astrologer build, I would recommend intelligence mind, vigor endurance, I’m a level 275 faith/mage build.

@@ThatFreikugel dont know what you mean by shit design , "cave of knowledge lies below" sounds absolutely like Tutorial to me , even the Ghost NPC sitting next to it says something about remembering the arts of war ... But yeah could be because i have the pov from the veteran perspective , maybe its bad for newcomers. dunno.

Always nice to see a mage go for it without Rock Sling and the Comet Staff. First 2 things I picked up and I'm soooo glad I did. :p

rock sling is the equivalent of a strait sword imo, very good but also kind boring if u just stick too it the whole game

@@kaicrodrigues2578 Rock sling is very good against monsters that are immune or have high resists to magic as it is physical damage not magic. You might fling the rocks at them with magic but it is still a rock hitting them in the face. 😁

omg not only the rare mage streamer but also the incredibly rare natural meteorite staff + rock sling area discovery if you poke around exactly the ruins you were in with the status effect you'll find the best staff and starting spell in the entire game. hope you discovered that sometime along the way haha
