Sir what happens to brightness if we reduce the distance from 10pc to 1 or 5 pc??

brightness is proportional to 1/ distance ^2 Moving it from 10 pc to 1 pc makes it 100 x brighter

It is by definition of magnitudes to intensity conversion 2.512^5 = 100 (Therefore a difference of 5 magnitudes represents an intensity difference of 100 to 1. )
