Sir, can an object travel faster than speed of light if it is near a black hole as its gravity should cause the spacecraft to move faster than speed of light?

For the rocket observer time will pass slower for him as time slows down near gravitational field as he goes near the near event horizon time dilation will keep on increasing and on reaching event horizon time dilation will be infinite it is governed by equation T=T0/√1-2GM/Rc^2 you can check Michael sir general relativity playlist for more details.

Why 10 parsec is chosen as an appearent magnitude distance ?

They wanted a distance that when a reasonably bright star was chosen, the absolute magnitude falls within the typical range visible apparent magnitude.
