I am a Christian and also very logical person. I was a medical research scientist. A theoretical 😢physicist acquaintance of mine, who is a believer on the first day I met him, told me it was not unusual in his field to find other believers. This surprised me. He said its because with the work we do many of us van see that there." I feel so blessed to find this lecture. i know I will watch it many times, I also found Jordan Petersons analysis of how Biblical truth relates to psychological phenomina quite enlightening

The history of it is not, it’s rooted in biology but it certainly has become so. I wonder why? Ah the psychologists must be wicked and hate God and want us to hate God, am I right? The fact is that Christianity is an eastern religion that has been turned into a western religion and had whatever redeeming values ripped from it. St Paul claims Christians will be transformed but here you are judging a man you have probably never met, but if you have met him it was only for a moment and you don’t really know him. And yet here you are criticizing a guy making your side‘s argument. You sir are disproving your own God by your actions. Sad really.

Nope. This is a common Chrisitan trick, of turning questions of FACT into questions of CHARACTER. Therefore, for eg, a question of FACT such as 'whether god/s exist in the first place' is cunningly transformed into a question of 'whether you have the character to rise above your pride and submit to the almighty.' So it becomes less about whether ideas are supported by evidence, and more about pressuring ppl to accept the ideas that a 'good' person would accept. Pressure is ramped up with threats of pain and suffering. It is a trick, and once ppl see it they can't unsee it, and start to see it everywhere in your script. It is essentially 'accept my ideas or you are evil, (and further, deserving of eternal torture). It is truly sick.

A worrying caveat: Ross seems to indicate that those experiencing the great glories of heaven will not in the least be affected by any thoughts of the utter and eternal misery of all those who have not chosen (or BEEN chosen for) heaven. Sure, 35 billion + souls in heaven sounds pretty awesome, but since some calculations indicate that perhaps as many as 150 billion humans have come into existence, that's 115 billion in torment. Hmm, is that God's great victory and triumph over evil? John McArthur et al postulate it is, but if Satan has 115 billion tiddlywink points, and God only has 35 billion tiddlywink points, that is a strange sort of Divine victory. Not trying to be irreverent--> the fellow J. Preston Eby you reference seemed to think likewise, since he embraced universalism (oddly, i did similarly for a while, but just before Christmas of 2022 it was seemingly revealed to me that if i denied the existence of eternal conscious torment, that such errant belief would be sufficient to warrant me the punishment i feigned did not exist). Hmmm. Well, not trying to be TOO argumentative, but i am not sure how you can reconcile H. Ross and J. P. Eby.

This ne day is like a thousand to God is talking about that God is transcendent, not limited to out time and space. Day is not the same as 24 hours, not in the past and not today. The earth is not 6,000 years old and the Bible does not teach this. Hebrews 4:9-10: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This tells us that the 7th day has not ended. Thus day 7 is a long time span, thus day 1 to 6 must be a long time span. Each believer are to enter into day 7. Also there no "evening and morning" for the 7th day. As day 7 as not ended. Biblical Hebrew has a limited vocabulary, with fewer words compared to other languages, such as English or Spanish. This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is: Sunrise to sunset Sunset to next sunset Time period of unspecified length. (long time span ). We use the word day the same today: In my grandfather’s day cars did not go very fast. Deuteronomy 33:15 and Habakkuk 3:6 "ancient mountains". Gen. 2:4 “in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens” The events of day 6 can not have happened in 24 hours. Creationism does not equal young Earth. There are many Old Earth creationists. .

The main reason was the inconsistencies in the YEC view that I hadn't seen before, such as "reading all Scripture literally." But YEC people I know don't do that. They believe in a moving Earth rotating on it's axis and revolving around the Sun. They didn't get that view from Scripture. Scripture describes a stationary Earth in a Geocentric system. So the YEC position is compromised by their picking and choosing what to take literally. The other issue that moved me away from 24 hour days was the events of Day 6. @@laylasmart Not really. For most of my 74 years I thought similarly, but I was wrong. Solving the puzzle of getting back to heaven from this physical training ground is extremely difficult. Only one person did this -- the one who became named "Christ." If you read John 3.13 carefully, you'll see that Christ is telling Nicodemus that he had been in heaven before coming to Earth to be Mary's son, Jesus. *_But before he was in heaven, he had become the First to go up to heaven from the Earth._* Before the Big Bang, God had Christianity already figured out. He knew its placement in history, right at the correct moment in time when cultures were mixing and philosophical thought was blossoming. People were mentally prepared for learning something brazenly new. A century earlier or later would have been the wrong time. He even knew that Christianity would become horribly corrupted in the 4th century. In everything, the *_FIRST_* to do something is always the person who receives all of the accolades and responsibilities which come from that accomplishment. The first-place winner in a race, the first person to discover a newly known species, the first man to break the sound barrier (Chuck Yeager), and the first person to break the 4-minute mile (Roger Bannister). The Entity known as Christ, who possessed the temporary body known as "Jesus" ("Yeshua") of Nazareth, was that *_FIRST._* Now, this is not proof in the scientific sense, but it is the rationale for why God chose Jesus Christ to be mediator between man and God. Even Siddhartha Gautama knew of someone superior to himself who would come from the West a few centuries later; he was that spiritually aware. 😎♥✝🇺🇸💯

The physics of evil is the exact opposite to the physics of good. Good attracts good, evil attracts evil. Good soothes evil, whilst evil attacks good. In the spirit world there is only spiritual physics, and that is based on thought. You think your location and you think your everyday activities. The entire spirit world is made of such thinking, mainly from The Lord but also from his angels. But, everything in the spirit world is good, so if you drop a hammer it will never bust your toe! That would be physically impossible there. But in Hell it will always create damage!

The thing is, that a single decision in the spirit world gives a spectrum of results in the physical world. The effects of one spiritual action, such as the creation of animals, produces entire animals, complete in every way. In spirit all things are known. That means that the issue is not how can I build an animal, but what uses can I think of for this animal which I know will turn out perfect. Earth started as an idea in God's mind and that idea was enough to cascade throughout creation. In the case of Man that is a different story because God is a Divine Man, present before Creation, meaning that we can all experience infinity.

I'm glad I watched this entirely through until the end. - Creation Model 1: (36:08) _The Decay rate is not so low as to let human sin and evil go unrestrained_ (37:51) We're limited by time and 3 dimensions of space. It limits our human contacts and because of how big the space dimensions are it separates us from one another. So for example if I got an evil thought in my mind where I want to do malice on someone I know in Germany, chances are I'm not going to be able to do much about it_ (38:55) _In Genesis chapter 6 we have humanity living 800, 900 years but it brings about untold multiplication of evil. So the Lord in Genesis 6:3 shortens our lifespan to a maximum of about 120 years_ - Creation Model 2: (53:07) _I think the Lord is going to deliver us in the geometric time in the New Creation. We will no longer be constrained to one dimension of time because there will no longer be the evil that requires us to be constrained to linear time_

@@manamanathegreat Remove one's head from one's arse Echo chamber? Do you have any idea what the culture is like in Physics? Listen mate I don't have to prove anything to you but I was not always a Christian. I used to live an occultist lifestyle like Thoth the Atlantean. If you want proof of the existence and power of God, look no further than me It was not possible for me alone to break my addictions and destructive lifestyle, it was only by the grace and power of Jesus that I was delivered from evil. Salvation is a gift from God, not works of man Please look into the historicity of Jesus. It is unanimous amongst the leading scholars - most of whom are obviously secular (i.e. not Christian) - that Jesus was a real man, lived when they said he did, did all the things they said he did, was crucified and died on the cross. The only thing the secular and religious scholars disagree on is whether or not Jesus rose from the dead, i.e. whether or not Jesus is the Son of God Even the secular and non-Christian scholars admit that the disciples and followers of Jesus, including the 500+ who were witnesses at the same time, believed that they saw the risen Jesus Christ. It's the only thing the secular scholars can fall back on, "they believed they saw it", rather than it actually happened. If they were to admit it was factually correct like the rest of their analyses into the historicity of Jesus, then they would have to concede the Jesus is the Son of God. It is their pride that stops them, not the evidence. They don't want God to be real because it would force them to examine their life choices Please look into Dr. Gary Habermas and his minimal facts argument for a detailed discussion of the above. It is a scientific fact. Don't dismiss or say it's legend or whatever because history and historicity is a scientific discipline. A myth takes generations or centuries to form whereas the historicity of Jesus proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the "legend" of Jesus started within MONTHS of the cross by multiple proofs, with the obvious conclusion being it actually started within days of Jesus' Resurrection - it was no myth, no fairy tale When you understand there are 9 historical references for the Emperor of Rome - Tiberius - and 40 references for Jesus - a carpenter from Bethlehem - perhaps you might begin to consider why that is. How can there be 4 times more separate, secular and religious, historical references for Jesus than the Emperor of Rome? Check out the fine-tuning argument and the irreducible complexity arguments, both are which provide proof that is orders of magnitude greater than the threshold required to believe it It is not me who lives in an echo chamber my friend, it is you. You have never heard the proof of Jesus and the proof of God because you have been insulated from it and have no desire to look at it. You love your sin, your life, your ego, more than the truth Just as 99% of Muslims don't know the true story of the death of Mohammed, just as 99% of Catholics don't know the truth about the Pope and the Jesuits - neither do you know the truth about God and Jesus I urge you to escape your echo chamber and examine the evidence. My favourite commentator on this is Professor John Lennox, who like me is Northern Irish and is a mathematician (he was the leading maths prof at Oxford and is now Emeritus Professor at Oxford in mathematics, certainly no fool) Peace and God bless you my friend

“The gods can either take away evil from the world and will not, or being unable to do so cannot, or they neither can nor will, or lastly they are able and willing. If they have the will, to remove evil, and cannot , then they are not omnipotent. If they can but will not, then they are not benevolent. If they are neither able nor willing, they are neither omnipotent nor benevolent. Lastly, if they are both able and willing, to annihilate evil, why does it exist?’ Epicurus “It doesn't seem to me that this fantastically marvelous universe, this tremendous range of time and space and different kinds of animals, and all the different planets, and all these atoms with all their motions, and so on, all this complicated thing can merely be a stage so that God can watch human beings struggle for good and evil - which is the view that religion has. So, you need a physics of psychology to understand the spirit world. Animals and plants are the thought-forms of higher entities. The landscape is the thought form of God. God said that everything will stand on two or three witnesses. One witness is the Word Second is our consciousness. The third is in the Nature and science can read more and more revelation from it. As I consider this, I just hear in my heart the hymn HOW GREAT THOU ART

He just said the universe has no purpose but to have us in the center "Earth" to watch it's expansion at a certain moment in life to choose between good and evil and there's no alien creatures in any other planet or galaxy from the million and billions of them which exist in this universe! Like how blind he think we are???? We don't life in a blue sphere with animals and bacteria alone with a huge black theater with a bunch of lights do we??? As if those planet do not have life just like Earth!!!!

Has anyone ever read the Ethiopian cannon of scripture? It's 88 books, and it has so much more context. It explains and expounds so much on scripture, it's amazing!! Most Ethiopian jews are Christians. The Ethiopian cannon is the oldest cannon of scripture the world has. God bless ❤

@Xzplizit yes, it's amazing!! It goes into so much detail into things that we are dying to know and are so confused from. It explains the origins of demons, what aliens are, judgments of God from the past, and in depth of Noah's arc. It just opens up so much understanding. They have the same 66 books we do. They just have 22 books that expand the stories, and that are of hebraic origin.

Careful not to impose western thinking on eastern traditions. The east (including Ethiopian orthodox) don't actually have a cannon in the same way protestants and Catholics do. They hold "Holy tradition" as equal to scripture and place less emphasis on scripture since it's ultimately their church that interprets everything and says how to apply it. Therefore in a practical sense it is liturgy and priests not scripture that hold the rule of faith and say what binds the conscience. Because of this we can not look at their canon as having the same infallible truth as our canon. There are good reasons they rest of Christianity has a smaller canon.

@BrianLassek Everything in the ethiopian cannon points to Jesus as the messiah and aligns perfectly with scripture. Have you ever read it??

Do you know that if water was any wetter, it would dissolve everything it came in contact with and if it was any dryer, it would draw the moisture out of everything it came in contact with, so water has been finely tuned by a supernatural being, to be exactly wet enough to enable life to exist, isn't that amazing...?

But soap does exactly that-it makes water wetter. Soapy water can dissolve alot, but not everything.🙂

4:30 There is a simpler question to give to this: "God COULD HAVE done it differently, but he didn't. And considering the spatial and temporal limitation of your brain does not give me confidence that you could have done better than God. And you shouldn't have such confidence in your own thoughts either." 7:40 As a fellow Astrophysicist I respect him, but he's playing Science now, rather then dispensing hope and confidence in God's individual choice of how to do it. He's talking about the result and how it works, but not about the superiority of God's mind and wisdom over that of any man, no matter how smart that man is among humans (i.e. an arrogant atheist).

If everyone only knew how specific everything has to be down to how 1% more or less of each individual element has to exist in the earth for us to exist they would realize only a masterful creator could have created all of this. It would take over a trillion accidents to happen at perfectly the right time for us to exist. Anyone who thinks we’re in the matrix needs to realize there’s more programming in one single cell than all the computer coding we’ve ever created . Thats insane. It would take hundreds of trillions of years to program one human being.

Yes but with those statistics being super improbable it is still leaving a chance for it to happen randomly. And the fact that there are so many other failures out there maybe they are all the failed possibilities and we are the one single one and the size of the universe literally allows us to be that one out of billions and trillions or more. Because when I hear people say oh the chance is so little I'm like yeah so we're the one and space is the rest of the failed chances. The thing that bothers me is that the televangelists who heal people a lot of times turn out to be a fraud and they follow up with almost every case and the person was never healed or just walked because of adrenaline and wasn't actually unable to walk just had an injury or arthritis. But what about people healing blind? Jesus healed blind and said that we could and in the book of Acts they did so why is no one nowadays ever healing someone who was born blind? You never once heard about a person born blind or deaf who has been healed by a Christian at all ever out of all the most faithful people and preachers and Believers you have never heard of any one single blind person being healed yet Jesus did it and said we could do it. Unfortunately as great as the message of Christianity is it really is just an echo chamber of if you talked about it a lot and you think about it a lot and you keep it in your head a lot it helps you believe it when there is literally nothing in front of you to really make you have a reason to believe other than it is a great thing to believe because why not it seems great. But really without constantly hearing about it just going on throughout your day if you didn't have the guilt trip of turning away from it you really don't actually see it you really don't experience it and no blinds have ever been healed that were born blind

You have to contend with the fact the the resurection account in the new testament is the most well documented and corraborated story in ancient history. You have to contend with morality. I would not believe in Jesus without good reason and evidence to. The early Church would not have subjected themselves to terrible persecution and unspeakable deaths unless they really believed what they said they did. Ask the big questions! Seek answers. The truth will set you free.

The more evil is exposed the more sense Jesus and the Bible make. If you are living today and still blind one has to ask just how much evil does it take before you humble your ego and side with God. We live in darkness and its your choice whether or not you switch your light on. Every light counts.
