One think I find important is also that Christianity is not unique. All views including Atheism are faith based views. If you think about it, Atheism makes some extraordinary claims and their perspective of Atheism influences their conclusions just as much as my perspective of Christianity does. They say "I see natural processes, I don't see God, therefor all processes are explainable through natural processes." Whenever they stumble on a question they want to exclusively find a natural process that explains it. Sure, Atheism could theoretically include non-God supernatural processes. Let's say Karma for example. But all Atheists I talked to so far only looked at natural processes so I equate Atheists with naturalists who leave up the possibility that there may be a god that is completely independent from the universe. Why is their claim so extraordinary? Naturalism is a position that you have to reason your way into. It comes very unnatural to humans. - Babies are not naturalists. - Remote tribes are not naturalists. - When we get into awe or in desperate situations we are not naturalists. - Various experiences in our life point away from naturalism. The perception of Identity, free will, reasoning capability, emotions, morality and many other such things are not naturalistic things and have to be treated as illusions from a naturalistic point of view. Some try to say, those things all don't matter, because the actual common human experience is that there is nothing supernatural. But they have to actively explain away hundreds of millions of people who disagree. How many people claim to have seen a miracle or an outer body experience or a demon encounter? Do they not contribute to the common human experience? Some try to say, since a person who has never heard of the God question is an Atheist, the Atheist question is the default position. But such a person doesn't exist. And even if it exists, the person also hasn't heard of nature. Such a person would only be capable of thinking of purely abstract ideas. And let's say a person who has never heard of the God question is Atheist. What does that tell you? If I want to convince a person that gravity does not exists. I don't go around saying, "Well you know, a person who was born in space does not know that gravity exist. Therefor I don't need to defend my position. All I have to do is reject yours as not convincing." If I want to prove a point I go to the experts and listen to their pro and contra arguments. If you argue that a layman intuitively holds a position, therefor the expert who came to the same conclusion doesn't have to argue their point, then that is just poor philosophy. What about Japanese for example? They are the most Atheistic people so they should count as a counterexample that there are lots of Atheistic people who don't even consider God. Just because they are Atheistic doesn't mean they are a good example to use. Because not only are they the most Atheistic people, they are also the most religious. All Atheists I've encountered are naturalists. Japanese Atheism beliefs that the souls of the ancestors visit the living. Are we allowed to propose souls as an explanation for free will, mind, consciousness? No? Some try to say, that we should go with the simplest model. But that simplest model should still explain all the evidence. Sure, we humans have the uncomfortable position that we have to make a judgement with incomplete information. Since all non deterministic effect can't be tested with repeatable lab experiments, all non-naturalistic evidences inherently are of lower quality. Rejecting all evidence that is not in the hard sciences will lead to a simpler model. But you know what will lead to an even simpler model? Rejecting all things that are not purely math. After all math is the only field where you can have actual proofs. Nature doesn't exist if we only accept math. My point is, we have to draw the line at some place. And in my opinion if you only accept hard science experiments you can't know anything about history, sociology and even evolution. Because of that we also have to accept soft science arguments. And that opens up various arguments which point to God. And in my opinion, Atheism needs a lot of complexity to explain those arguments which point to God while Christianity explains them simpler. I know it said a lot of "They say". I refer to previous conversations of mine and to me it sounds like all Atheists I talk about have some of these arguments. The Lack-Theist position is a pretty common view nowadays. Lack-Theism is the desire to put the Atheist view as the default and then reject all need for a burden of proof. But for them to do that, they first have to argue that Atheism is the default position. Most don't give a reason why Atheism is the default view. And the few that do bring the examples I just responded to above. And even if they manage to do that, do you really want to be a default view that doesn't need defense? I thought the idea of science is, that you set up a hypothesis and try to falsify/confirm it. So if you say your view on the world is the default and doesn't need justification then you have a non-scientific view and you won't find out if you are wrong. That's the ultimate form of bias.

The problem with atheists is that no amount of evidence will convince them to believe in God.
