I love JV, but giving up 6 runs in 4.2 innings against the Angels is not good. I don't care if his name is Verlander, he's a liability every fifth game. BUT it's great to see that King Tuck back! Edit: Even JV has acknowledged that his return hasn't been good and that he might've came back from the injury too fast. He even sounded understanding if he was left off of the starting rotation for the postseason.
@jt.000112 ай бұрын
Been saying this... If Verlander is playing, the Astros will win not win easily. If anything whenever Verlander plays, the Astros always have to play from behind to win
@paulhopkins19052 ай бұрын
He is obviously still not 100%. His fastball velo is still way down in the low 90s instead of the mid 90s when he got hurt.
@paulhopkins19052 ай бұрын
I bet you were saying Bregman was done when he was slumping early, and wanted to cut Brown when he was struggling.
@Oneiriel2 ай бұрын
@@paulhopkins1905 Why would anybody say that Hunter Brown is done? He's in his mid 20s. JV is 41. He's had a great career, and I'll always be grateful for what he's done for us. But if he cannot even get through 4 innings against a team in the basement of the division, that says something. But it seems like you don't want to hear it. So I'm not going to bother arguing with you.

That sucks bro! My wife, just like me has always been a die hard Stros fan, so we watch almost every game, as long as we're home. Our son and daughter are also die hard fans, when the post season comes around, game nights here are epic, lol. What sucks is we don't get to go to many home games, like we used to. I can't just buy two tickets anymore, we'll never hear the end of it from the kids if we go without them. Texans games are the same way.

JV is the oldest player in all of the MLB, it’s going to be a scary situation if he is a starter in the playoffs. He’s great but father time always wins.

I think he needs to go to the bullpen and come in relief for two innings max.

What a mixed bag of goodies. JV barely hangs on. Jake the Rake gets a HR. Doobie gets an RBI. Pena gets on base 4 times. Alvarez goes 0fer. King Tuck returns and WTF is Altuve doing in his first two plate appearances? Swinging at a 3-0 pitch and then striking out on a ball WAY off the plate. Altuve just looked like he was trying too hard. And of course the replay brought to us by the Chili-man. Overall...Astros won and move the number to 4. I will sleep well.
@grandwonder58582 ай бұрын
Altuve is the only star baseball player that consistently swings at balls 2-4 feet out of the strike zone and yet he is the shortest MLB player so that he can’t possibly make contacts with the ball anyway! I don’t get what the heck he is thinking swinging at balls that can’t possibly do anything good even if he hits them!
