I think it was an more than excellent presentation. If we compare each trompetist with Maurice André its not fair, specially with this very young and sympathik player. Chapeau, chapeau from a amateur trumpet player!

Voilà la différence entre un musicien habité et un automate qui joue pour se montrer et gagner des fortunes. Ce trompettiste joue la musique de Haydn comme il faut la jouer, parce qu'il la sent au fond de lui. il sait ce qu'il joue, il en comprend le sens, il appuie là où c'est le plus beau et articule correctement ce langage particulier. Déjà, il joue avec un véritable instrument qui rend le son qui convient, il ne se presse pas pour en finir au plus vite, il respire. Bref, Haydn, c'est son folklore. Quelques notes qui glissent? Quelques fins de phrases un peu avalées? Son jeune âge en est la cause. La position des lèvres est parfaite, il joue sans partition, il cuivre juste ce qu'il faut et la puissance viendra avec le temps. La trompette c'est toute une façon d'être où la volubilité et l'emphase flirtent avec l'humilité et le respect du compositeur. Il faut être tonitruant et dominateur en même temps qu'appliqué et travailleur. Tout cela s'apprend au fur et à mesure. Bravo à lui et j'espère de tout cœur qu'il restera toujours aussi musical et inspiré.
