I am unsure if Asu is reading English comments but I just wanted to say that you've inspired me to make my own mini garden and that seeing you upload has made my day. Thank you.

How did it go? :D
@UndercoverRuby2 жыл бұрын
It has not gone yet! I've been looking for a specific pump and I've finally found one and acquired it. I do 3d modeling as a hobby and so I've been designing the garden as it'll be made with care to fit in a specific area. Once I'm happy with the design and dimensions I'll get the glass cut and I'll update then!
@UndercoverRuby2 жыл бұрын
After all it's only been 3 days and this stuff takes a while to set up, you don't just grab glass and shove some dirt and water in there, hopefully in two week I'll be able to work on it. This is a side project and I have much more important things to do like getting walls in the room I'm in and a proper support for the garden! If everything goes well I might record and post a video update on it!

Just some ideas here: - For the smaller version of the rain garden, I would try to use hydrophobic material or spray on the ceiling so the droplets do not merge together due to surface tension during fall. - I would also add some small bumps above the ceiling (where the water is) in order to separate them in open compartments, making it so that the compartments in the back are always flooded but the ones in the front only have water now and then. This way holes in the back drip faster than the ones in the front, giving a more realistic sense of depth. - Maybe add some entropy to the rain fall system, because the droplets fall down in complete sync in a rather unnatural way. Maybe make the pump water flow oscilate just a bit or if not possible, add some floating objects on water in top in order to generate waves.

I see an excellent business opportunity in the Middle East but as u said it needs improvements like developing the rain smell. I'm willing to take this opportunity seriously.

It would be interesting to see this but in a thunderstorm scene. Perhaps with LEDS to act as flashes of lightning, and a loop of thunder sounds playing from a speaker? Something like that, to simulate a storm. There are also candles meant to smell like rain, even the specific plant smell chemical after it rains called petrichor, which would add to the effect!
@deerafl19792 жыл бұрын
would be nice if a cafe/tea house employs that idea. Put a big rain garden box along the wall, dim the light, turn the AC on
@g60force2 жыл бұрын
great idea but it will bore / annoy you very soon... i have a massive bigscale modeltrain collection and i thought making my whole room wall into diorama on multiple levels in height, then I powered the rails... since they are bigscale they all have lights but also their own speakers... it's CHAOS hahah!! I barely have them switch on tho, just to impress others (you can find it on my channel, will revise it this winter) perhaps a Button for a flash/thunder sequence on a timer for 10sec separate from the continues water-drops!

I wonder if he sells these, or just has a super large room full of them...
@FabulousaAliya2 жыл бұрын
I think he breaks them down and reuses parts. You can see that he took the smaller version down, and I've seen in other videos he mentions taking the pump from an older one to use in the current video. He probably keeps them up for a little while though!
@somerandomperson72232 жыл бұрын
Due to the algae some of them produce really fast, I assume he would take some down and recycle or throw them out. With everything he makes it would be high maintenance and some of the things he makes would either start breaking, smell very bad, start growing algae and/or grow mold

@@g60force the drops grow big because of superficial tension of water. I guess if each hole have few hair or something pointed the drops would fall before grow big.
