this game deserved so much MORE of what it sold...the story its the best i have seen in a long time, the characters, the locations, the lore...everything about this game its beautifull...you love the heroes, hate the villians, rage as much as asura does...you can feel his anger and pain at each moment...yet theres movie wanabes like NT who get so much atention undeserved for low quality stories...Asuras Wrath its what enslaved wished it could be

I was pleasantly surprised by Asura's english VA but when I really recommend you give a listen to the Jp VA too, Liam's still awesome tho. And I know what you mean. When AW's storyline first came out people were comparing it to GoW. I was one of them but then I realized that Asura is actually a complex character who's trying to sort out why he's feeling all this wrath while trying to save his daughter too. That way he can't really be compared to Kratos since Kratos is full blown revenge mode XD

Asuras Wrath was truly a journey that everyone should experience. I felt so many emotions and felt the pain Asura had suffered throughout his entire adventure, it shows the developers truly cared for the story and characters they wrote. Truly an unappreciated game. Although the gameplay was nit the best, the scenarios, acrtion packed scenes and wonderful story make up for it. Truly, I hope when I make video games one day, I can craft such beautiful stories and follow in Asuras Wraths steps.

I agree with you there. I played it with english voices and personally thought that the lip sync worked better with them. The game itself is awesome and well worth the buy, the DLC ending made it even better, even though you had to spend some money on it.

This game was a masterpiece. It was so full of emotion (not only wrath and anger ;) ) that I couldn't stop playing it. I played it through 4 times by now and i can't wait to do it again. I loved every moment of it and sometimes i even cried. (death of the girl, Durga, and so on) I hope there will be more games like this. *-*

Asura's probably Liam's best roll in a long time, the dude deserves a lotta credit just for being able to keep his voice after all that screaming, and the character manages to have a hell of a lotta emotional deph for being an action game protag a la Kratos. Actually, Kratos is just a psychotic thug. There's a moment in the game where a child's being chased by goma, and when Asura steps in the first thing he does is push the kid away gently BEFORE he kicks ass. I miss guys like that.

This is by far the best cinematic videogame ever created. The story, borrowing from legendary games and anime before it, coalesces them together to provide one of the greatest experiences of all time. I know a lot of people note that its gameplay lacks in a lot of aspects, and that its lasting appeal, considering the game is only 6 hours long, is unfortunate... not a single critic out there has argued against its presentation and story. This is a true legendary game in those aspects.

If the there was an anime adaptation that expanded upon the original game, gave a prequel season leading up to the games beginning and a completely redone version of Part IV Nirvana and if The anime staff came on to Project Barracuda for a Wii-U Remake, and add Platinum Games for the hell of it, it would make a EXTREMELY improved sequel. Thumbs up this comment if Platinum Games and Cyberconnect2 should make a Wii-u Remake of Asura's Wrath Together.

Prequel/Inbetween-quel. It could either detail everything from before Asura's training to the exact moment he's standing on the ship, ready to jump off (i.e. the beginning of the game), or it could detail the events of when he was dead for 12,000 and 500 years respectively. Maybe how things started off cruel but with a good goal, and how things deteriorated, and then how things changed after Wyzen was killed, even if he was weak. It'd be pretty short, though. Like a 12 episode OVA series.

See, there was a time when the developer knew he would only release one game in a year, so he tried his hardest to make it his crowning jewel without the safety of knowing that he had a few extra months to shove extra content into the game. And honestly, Asura's Wrath is more movie than gameplay anyway. I played the game all the way to the final chapter. I could watch the conclusion on KZbin any time I wanted. Already had a good potion of it spoiled as is.
