Finally, I was waiting for this. True that Ni-Fi loop is the worse thing for INTJ. I've been there. You explained it accurately how to come out of it because that's what I did unknowingly. Engaging in some extroverted activities will bring back Ni visions of the reality and the perspectives than projections of Fi. 1)Long walks 2)Seeking help from my close friend 3)Journaling 4)Exercising 5)Music&Playing an instrument All these helped me to get out of the loop. Thanks for this video

@@t5396 My decisions and perceptions about the outside situations and people weren't objective unlike a healthy INTJ. 6:21 Yes! This is my ultimate hang up. What happens if I am presented with a no-win situation is to reject the situation entirely, and subsequently slip into Ni Fi la-la land. Seems to be about control. Appreciate the advice to focus on the tangible aspects of living to recalibrate... getting moving and doing physical activities that allow for a sense of agency through engagement rather than fantasy, even though it can be difficult to overcome the inertia sometimes. That is where having support from others can really help, too. Thank you!

INTJ here. Ni Fi loop was more of a problem for me in my 20’s. I ended up in a couple narcissist relationships where I felt cut off from the world and stuck in my own thoughts and feelings feeling trapped, controlled, manipulated, gaslighted, etc. It happened because my “3 year old” distant 3rd function didn’t alarm me that my feelings needed to be addressed early on until I was stuck. When I started using my Te by opening up to close family and getting in nature Se, I gained clarity and left the relationship in order to build my self esteem up and come to a healthy place. Luckily my Si is pretty savvy to the narcissist and gaslighting and deflecting... it’s been a tough journey

I think INTJs are the most prone types to being "unhealthy" due to this Ni-Fi loop. it's the infamous "extinct by instinct" example. it requires the ultimate sacrifice which is time when Fi acts as their "passion" function. also note that the "escape" that you mentioned might not always result in just diving into Se (i.e. the common abusive sensory traits), rather it could force the person into picking the Te-Se loop which then put the person in danger of being stuck in the "analysis paralysis" mode. needless to say that I'm generalizing/projecting my experiences (by extrapolation?) here and it doesn't mean that it could be the case for anyone else.

I have often said in my life that my bias is rooted in my morality as an individual. This allows my 'patterning of obligation' of my perceived 'doubts and failures' of others to be a 'failure' rooted solely upon my perspective. Basically, I cannot hold anyone else to the same standard that I hold for myself because that often kicked off my loop. We are all human, meant to fail, and this was a defining moment for my encompassed perspective of the stream of life ebbing and flowing around me. This was long before such beneficial videos such as this one which defines it as an overview; rather than trying to find a specific situation and what others would do about it. I was young and it took a bit of time to sort out the why's, but it basically boiled down to expectations that I relied on because I thought others shared the same 'values' that I did. Often in my intimate relationships, this does not get inferred correctly and I have had women think it is some sort of 'complex'. The reality is that I expect failures from others, and myself, which gets perceived as self-defeating. The reality is my expectations in my skull makes me still reside as an idealist, but I have to make a knowledgeable decision to be a realist in a flawed world. Thus helping me avoid the main conundrumatic loop of my existence.

I am so glad to hear I'm not the only freak with a "video library" in my head that I can loop over and over. It's a problem for me, especially because I had some childhood trauma events that are completely preserved in visual and emotional fidelity and can be relived over and over.

I am INFJ and it sounds very similar to the Ni-Ti loop, which if used at the right time for the right situations isn't a bad thing but it is horrible once caught in it with what feels like no way out. Whether it is thoughts or feelings, it is needed to use your opposite functions to figure out what needs to be done to get out of that loop and I was caught in an Ni-Ti loop for 8 to 9 years. It even put me in a depressive state, making me think I was truly in full depression. Once I started learning psychology and typology (and researching what my type was), I learned how to get out of it and have felt much better about myself, about my life, about everything really. I have you as one of the many to thank for that. With that said, with us both being Ni dominant, I think that is why I got drawn to you when I found the first video of yours that I had watched. Instantly went to your page and subscribed, I have learned much, and yet still have allot more to learn.

The "win-win" situation you mentioned is spot on. I'm always looking for the perfect outcome and always end up pushing the envelope right when I think i've found an answer. It's also funny that you talked about having to choose the "lesser of two evils." I've been calling that exact thing "the less crappy option out of two crappy options" problem lol.

Spot on! IMO and based on my experiences, Te is the best way out of the Ni-Fi loop. It re-establishes the Ni-Te balance which pulls an INTJ out of the loop. It also rationalizes and breaks the illogical and suspicious beliefs Ni and Fi feed each other. With Se, if not measured, could lead to indulgence. So stick with Te by using it daily and in every task.

“Conclusion.” That’s a really precise word. Usually if I stuck in this loop or a rut it’s because I lack a conclusion of something. This means more to 5w4 when they’re trying to figure out the purpose of doing something.

Ni-Fi is also seductive because Ni is almost automatic, the thing we know defines our visionary ways. Fi is however deeply wedded in childhood patterns. Put together it’s a potential sinkhole of unhealthy patterns and feelings that feels like a totally valid vision we can’t let go of.

As an ENTJ, I actually relate to Ni-Fi loops. Of course I can get into Te-Se without noticing it, but Ni-Fi is actually the harder one for me to fix because of its position as a divergent function stack. There are times where I can only observe the Ni-Fi loop without the ability to change it. I usually have to force myself to use both Te and Se to get out of Ni-Fi loops.

I knew I had chest dysphoria for 3 years, 1.5 of which I labored over whether or not to have top surgery with my gender therapist. The literal second I saw my bare chest after surgery (wounds, swelling, drains, and all) in the mirror, I knew 100% I'd made the right choice. Ni-Fi loops are rough, but I see now that my gender therapist supported me through Te and, once I'd done it, I had Se proof that it was the right choice.

Because of my repressed Te when stuck in the loop, it can get difficult to get things done. A lot of Te activities are left hanging as a result. This pandemic really threw me hard into this kind of trap and it really affected me. But I don't dissagree that a healthy use of extroverted functions can get me out of this trap.

Thanks for the quality content. I wonder what you think about what CS Joseph says about the Fi child or God complex. His recent video on why people hate INTJs is quite disturbing because of how accurate it is. A lot of people think INTJs are insensitive jerks, dictatorial, and narcissistic. I know that you have addressed the issue of INTJs and narcissism, but more than a few INTJs and those who have had relationships of some kind with one of us, say Fe trickster and Fi child God complex have angered or baffled a lot of people to no end.

2 big problems with the 16 Types today: 1. "No one", today, has reads or has read the 3 big Myers-Briggs books. They are: "Gift's Differing", co-authored by Isabel Myers-Briggs. (SHOW ME even one youtube video, made in the last 2 years, that ever even mentions or quotes anything from this book OR the next 2 listed. It doesn't happen. So, where are the youtube creators getting their info?!?) "Type Talk" by Kroeger and Theussen (my favorite)- "Life Types by Hirsch & Kummerow. the second thing wrong is: "Everybody" wants to be: 1. the RAREST type (so they can feel "special") 2. an INTP or an INTJ (so they can feel "smart") or 3. an ENTJ (so they can be "in-charge" and give orders). No one!-- ever says: " Hi, I'm one of the 2 most common Types. I'm pretty-darn common and ordinary and I couldn't be happier about it." NO ONE!

What you're saying is true. It's very annoying. Though I have to say, I feel like the people who would be the most interested in things like MBTI are mostly intuitives. You attract what you are and look for concepts that fit your understanding of things, for example. So coming across more of the types you listed makes sense, but for different reasons. But I know so many people who just do the 16 personalities test and then claim to be a certain type without diving into it and it makes me so sad! Or when teenagers use it as a trend. There were people who were calling themselves "master manipulator intj" and well...i am an intj but if they typed me, they'd think I'd be wrong, probably because I'm not always super logical

I especially like the way the blogger thought and provided solutions to some of the issues, was Ne not analyzed separately in the 8-dimension? It would be better if the 8 -dimension could create a separate playlist, I guess then the viewer can find what they need more clarity. Thanks again blogger for sharing your thoughts and knowledge, your sharing has really helped me to think about my life in a new way.

You now, I wonder if we INTJs are more likely to become followers of Christ. If you think about the verse in Corinthians, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, behold, old things are passed away, all things are become new".

What issues do INTJs with ISFJs need to face and address if they become mates in life? I am an INTJ but also have a high Fe-Ti percentage, my partner is an ISFJ and we have been together for almost three years, there was a lot of conflict at first but we understand each other by communicating our own way of thinking. I would like to ask the blogger which way of communication is easier for ISFJ to understand and accept, and how should INTJs learn the qualities they don't have from ISFJs? This question has been bothering me for a while, and I've been thinking about it myself, but I truly hope to get your answer. It should give us a new perspective to rethink about our relationship. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and hope your video will help more people.
