I first knew Stanley Peiris as a school mate much senior to me at St. Anthony's College Kandy, with a few more friends of his performed at a musical evening at the Trinity College Hall. Later he was our art teacher in late 60s. Stanley is a musician by all means, who played the violene at his best. I still enjoy his music. Sad we lost a legendary musician. May his soul rest in peace.

Lead guitarist Senaka Ranasinghe is doing a great job in reviving the lead guitar tone of the 70s. Unfortunately he is no longer with Rajiv and The Clan, with whom he played for 18 years (2000-2018). I started to appreciate 70s music because of the unique sound he provided on the lead guitar, much like Super Golden Chimes lead guitarist Dixon Gunaratne. I hope the new line up of Rajiv and the Clan will continue to perform 70s songs by preserving Senaka's lead guitar tone. I have been an ardent fan of Rajiv and the Clan since I was about 6-7 years old and by far, Senaka has been my best band member.

Apart from being a melodist, musician, music director, he had been a vocalist and also a lyricist as i recall (correct me if im wrong on the lyricist aspect).. such a memorizing voice he had, which is truly visible on the initial recordings of the songs 'රන් තරු පායන' later handed over to our 'Beloved Romantic Heart Stopper' Keerthi Pasquel, and 'හවසට පායා අරුණේ සැඟවෙන' later handed over to our 'Heart Burglar' Late Gration Ananda ❤❤
