Hey Kleo! I decided to jump the gun on this motherboard based on your review... and I'm now having second thoughts about it. Has it given you any troubles since your initial thoughts? I had a sour experience with this board given that the LAN drivers aren't recognized immediately when Windows is installed and because my USB3.0 header ripped and broke a pin after just one plug in, rendering 2 of my front USB-A ports useless. A USB port at the back also acts funny with an external DAC, if it's not turned on when booting it won't recognize it and it'll render the port useless until I reboot. Turning it on during normal use won't work, and if it's turned on when I boot my PC and then turn it off and try to turn it back on it won't work, it's just with that singular USB port though (top left from the blue USBs on the rear IO), the others work fine and this doesn't happen with anything else. The IO shield is also a tad loose on the top right corner for some reason. Curve Optimizer with -25 on all cores for a 7800x3D and 6000 MT/s G.Skill Trident Neo RAM with EXPO enabled work flawlessly though, I'd just like to know if it's a good board in the long run or if I'm better moving my system to an X670E Tomahawk instead. Running the latest drivers and BIOS too, pretty easy to set up to be quite honest. Keep up the great work! Also loved your LF III review and it's my cooler of choice with this CPU, really helped me make my purchase for both of these items. :)
@KleoYan8 ай бұрын
Hi Ohmnity, welcome to my channel. For me I didn’t run into any of your issue with this board but I do have to agree on the LAN part. I too have to do a local login in windows and to use a license key to activate windows. If given the choice of this and the MSI x670e tomahawk. I would take the tomahawk as it does have all the bells and whistles, plus during installation, the Lan/RJ45 is detected.

I was a little confused at 26:00 in the video where you explained a problem with the fan system,thanks if u decide to reply
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hi Steve Johnson, welcome to my channel. I was trying to explain that each of these fan headers have a max capacity of 1ampere. And fans out there you are able to daisy chain them together which gives you only one connection point. you can do that but make sure to find our what's the total 3 fan ampere is before you plug. Example fan 1 to fan 3 are each rated at 0.30a. if you total them up, it will be at 0.90a which is not an issue to plug to any of these motherboard fan header (Each) If 3 fans daisy chained and total up above 1ampere, lets say each fan is at 0.4a, total will be 1.2a, then you should not be pluging to any of these motherboard fan header (Each)

@@KleoYan Hi KleoYan, thank you for your video. I recently bought this motherboard and I am planning on building my pc soon. Your comment abbout the Amps spooked me as I am really not experienced in computer parts and I didn't expect the amps to become a problem. After some digging around on the internet and researching the case I bought, it turns out a power repeater can be used for the fans. This way you can attach many fans to one fan header as the power is pulled directly from the PSU. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I think this would be the solution for this motherboard. I don't know if many cases come with a repeater, mine did in any case.
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
@@daniel_wiersma Hi welcome to my channel. Yes you can use that and it's perfectly safe. Not all chassis comes with the Fan and argb hub which is powered by the PSU sata. That's the reason for some experience builders, they will purchase a fan and argb hub which draws power directly from the PSU instead from the motherboard and yes as you've mentioned, this will resolve the ampere issue. Thank you for your feedback and all the best with your build.

Hi lsotrev, welcome to my channel. Assuming you have 2 x 2tb nvme and both are of PCIe 4.0 , install both OS and Games in one m.2 which is to slot the m.2 slot nearest to the processor on your motherboard and the other m.2 at the middle slot on your motherboard as game storage or data storage. That will be ideal. As both os and game load will be faster.

Hi john wayne gaming, welcome to my channel. For prebuilt, I am not able to advise you as different SI (System Integrator ) have their own ways to plug fans to the motherboard header. motherboard manufacturers are removing real POST CODE LEDs from low end boards, which is a shame, and replacing them with LEDs. the problem isnt positioning of the replacement indicator LEDs, its that there isnt a POST CODE 7 segment LED. The other problem with M.2s and connectivity in general, there is no longer a high end desktop segment, at least one that is affordable, that offers enough PCIe lanes to allow for things like M.2 slots, and full bandwidth PCIe slots, and more of them. Who wants to run their GPU that maybe they spent $1000 on, at X8? Also, ill bet the real market for people plugging in PCIe 5.0 M.2 into the second PCIe x16 (real x8) is very very small.

Hi scbadq, welcome to my channel. I do share the same sentiment as in having to remove the debug LED digital screen on mid tier boards, for lowend I can understand. Hi, nice video and very detailed, thanks for that. I´m planing to buy one of those, so thank you for the video. One thing I think is not right is with your take on these fanheaders. There is no way they could melt, the headers themselves would be able to handle more than 5 amps. But the fan controller is of course limited. So your critics may be basically right, when you think of connecting many fans and a pump. Exept you have a short of course, but than the traces would fail first. You should watch your powerdraw, that can be an issue! Another thing I´m wondering, you said this is not a E- chipset? That would be a fraud by ASUS since they call it a "B650E-F Strix Gaming Wifi" ...
@KleoYan3 ай бұрын
@@dirkhenkel9410 Hi and welcome to my channel. I wouldn’t say am an expert on the fan ampere but I do have encounter or had bad experience with connector melt. It does melt when one fan is at 0.5A which 3 total up of 1.5A. As headers you have mentioned, capable up to 5amp, but not to each header. For me to use an asus board, I normally use a fan hub with a sata power source, which current is drawing directly from the PSU. Next to plug the hub PWM cable to the motherboard fan header. I feel safer this way without damaging the fan headers. Yes I do take precautions when plugging daisy chained fans to any motherboard header. Anyone have their bios menu and splash screen change from black to green?
@KleoYan Жыл бұрын
Hello Christopher Naggy, welcome back, use to do that like years ago. Now I don’t think you can do that as UFEI has the tpm and secure boot thing. Maybe try Reddit forum to ask.

Great review but I have a stupid question. How do I get into the BIOS? 😂 The pc loads so fast I can't even read what it says 🙃

Hello YummiestOrphan, welcome to my channel. the moment you click on restart from windwos or did a cold start on your PC, keep pressing the delele key till you see the BIOS.

"Hi, could you please help me? I’m building a PC with 3 fans from an AIO cooler and 4 case fans. Do I need a fan header hub, or will the motherboard have enough headers?
@KleoYanАй бұрын
Hi Jesaja, welcome to my channel. Maybe list down the AIO Cooler and the fans you are using, I will need to know the brand and model to check the Ampere of those fans.

@@KleoYan The case, an ENDORFY Arx 700 ARGB, comes equipped with three pre-installed basic fans. For cooling the CPU, DeepCool LS720 AIO liquid cooler i will use. Thanks you very much for your response and help.🙏🏼
@KleoYanАй бұрын
@@Tehntex for the LS720 AIO, the ampere of each fan is at 0.29A which you should not have an issue as 3 x 0.29a is at 0.87A, this motherboard CPU_FAN is at 1A so it's ok. as for your case fans, I have no idea what's the ampere. can you check on the fans if it does shows you the ampere used.
