Please sir do you have any TYPE-C REPAIRING VIDEOS BECAUSE TYPE-C is new Logic in laptops and difficult to repair. Sometimes I want to use Oscilloscope to measure communication signals but I fail, such as communication between PD WITH TYPEC BIOS , BOOSTING OF 5V FAILURE . PLEASE MASTER IF YOU HAVE ANY TYPE-C VIDEO HELP US

Please master I also have hantek but make video on how to capture those signals
@philiptroniks22 күн бұрын
@mugabirapaul8653 Hantek DSO2C10 captures only some motherboards' PLTRST# signals, not all. RIGOL could do the job better for PLTRST#. Other than PLTRST# all other signals can be captured by Hantek DSO2C10.

@@santoshmundepi2977 Please check SIO Reqirements such as RSMRST#, PWRBTN_OUT# to PCH. Check PM_SLP_S4# signal from PCH to SIO when you press power button then you can get a clue.

@@santoshmundepi2977 Search PR8630 resistor and check of there any voltage on that resistor when you press power button. In your motherboard SUSC# is equal to S4#, ram enable signal and SUSB# is equal to S3# Run enable such as 1.8v and 1.05v enable signal. You should get 3.3v at PR8630 when you press power button because you are getting 1.05v and 1.8v output which is enabled by SUSB# signal that comes after SUSC# signal.

Please master, I would like to inquire from you, when PCH doesnot RECIEVE PWRSW# signal it means signal doesnot rise up
@philiptroniks21 күн бұрын
@@mugabirapaul8653 Nice catch. Yes you are correct PCH will release S4 and S3 signal only after PWRBTN_OUT# input to PCH from SIO. Let me clarify. Have you ever noticed that if you remove main battery and CMOS battery and then connect adapter the board may turn on automatically, in this case you didn't press the power button but how did it turned on? This is because of the loss of CMOS information inside PCH and SIO as result of loss of RTCVCC voltage. 32.768khz frequency is lost. So once adapter connected, at once the SIO receives power, PWRBTN_OUT# signal to PCH will be sent even debounce logic of PWRSW# is not reflected inside SIO. But this happens only once you connect adapter after G3 power loss state (G3 = no adapter, no battery, no CMOS battery). As you said, PCH is always releasing S4 and S3 only after PWRBTN_OUT# input to PCH.

Please master I would like to inquire from you, ON SIO and PCH chip we have GPIO PINS, but on these GPIO pins we have voltages and signals. why is it on GPIO pins we have # and others don't FOREXAMPLE SRTC_RST#, RTC_RST# AND RTC_AUX_S5 but all of them are LDO So this # has a meaning on GPIO PINS
@philiptroniks20 күн бұрын
@@mugabirapaul8653 I didn't get your question correctly. Are you asking why are there '#' symbols after a signal like RTC_RST# and SRTC_RST# but not in RTC_AUX_S5? If you are refering to this, then It's really a good question actually. Now when ever you see a '#' symbol after any signal you should keep in mind that the particular signal is an active low signal which means it is active only when it is low. For example, if you take ECRST# signal it is active when it is low like 0v if you have 3.3v on that line then it is in active. To reset EC chip you need to pull ECRST# low to 0v. And that's why we say # means active low. It same for all signal like RSMRST#, PLTRST#, RTCRST#, DRAMRST# all active low. Also, You might see in some charger ICs ACOK and ACOK# also. If you have ACOK then on that pin it should be 3.3v or high logic. If you have ACOK# on that pin it should be 0v or low logic. Hope I clarified your doubt.
