Thanks for this, the Newegg "overview" video of this motherboard was 25 minutes of them standing around it talking about it. I just wanted to see what the UEFI BIOS looks like! Very informative, good video :D

We found that even at 1.44V the temps never went over 90c. We are using a closed loop MAINGEAT EPIC 180 cooler though so this is not even advanced air cooling at this stage. We would not recommend running at that voltage for extended periods though. We were just looking to see exactly how high we could push this CPU.

I do not remember specifically, but it is VT-X is usually under CPU settings and VT-D is under advanced setttings.

Most of what you are hearing is the Asus HAS 5870 V Stalker Edition GPU... that thing is pretty loud to be honest, but yes the mic is sensative...

Its under CPU Configuration in the BIOS, and its called Intel Virtualisation Technology

sounds simple enough. thank you very much! My RAM is about to be upgraded to 16GB any way. I'm already flying at 8GB. Many thanks!

I have ASUS P8Z77-VLE motherboard. on the start screen, i can only press DEL and the next screen only shows the available OS and a "memory test diagnostics". How can I enter BIOS? There seems to be no choice other than DEL.

I would try using the Asus flash application in Windows or the AFDOS flash application and see if they will let you update the BIOS.

The Graphics are from the CPU. We would be showing you what the GMA 4000 on the 3770k we use looks like. Depending on which CPU you get your results would vary.

yes you can. i have asus p8z77-v lk and i run 2x gtx 660 in sli. if your card is 3 way or 4 way sli you can run that on this board also

VT-X and VT-D are only available in the UEFI BIOS. You cannot set them in from Windows.

Does the UEFI come with the ASUS P8Z77-vPro? I just bought the vPro. Is this what the new BIOS looks like or is this flashed on there?

Sounds like you might not have the intel management engine interface installed.

No, the Gene has better sound, better components (capacitors etc) and better performance it also has the option for both wireless abnd mSATA SSD caching.

Increasing the amount of RAM for the iGPU is not overclocking it. It will pull that from system memory though...

Hey guys, i have a problem with my iGPU, my computer can't detect it so when i try to go to BIOS i try enabling it through systems agent configuration but when i do it just keeps rebooting again and again. I tried removing my discrete gpu, any ideas on how to enable my iGPU?

Cool runthrough! Very helpful to have this video. I got a question. I've seen in retail computer listings for Intel HD Graphics 4000 have something about "up to 1696MB total video memory" and it just hit me what it was for. I dont plan to be "gaming" on it but I like free 2 play stuff from time to time. IDC what it looks like, i just want it to run. Out the box its 64MB, most need 256mb. at 5:20 u have that. Would this increase volt/temp etc? and is this considered OC too? i dont want a GPU.

I have this board, specifically the LE model. Perhaps someone can explain to me why Bios does not load? Every time I hit CTRL ALT DEL it gives me a black screen, DEL alone does nothing and none of my F keys will bring up anything. I need this so boot up stops saying "hard disk is not detected" when the PC runs fine. I haven't tried messing with the board resets, such as the 1-2-3 switch nor have I attempted to remove and replace the over sized watch battery. Anyone got any ideas?

Just discovered your channel. I just built my first PC in five years using an i5 3570k and an ASUS P8z77-v LK. I'm brand new to "this gen" PC hardware. I dont suppose I can add you on skype so we can chat? I could use a few pointers as I dont think I'm getting the potential of my hardware. And not to worry...I'm not a noob. I'm CST CNST and was once MCSE certified. If you could give me fifteen minutes of your time I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah, I actually fixed it though. After I updated it with my flash drive it still wouldn't come out. But I was on a crappy flat screen tv. Just got a 23 inch monitor and everything works perfect.

There is a jumper on the board or you can remove the battery. If you remove the battery you will also need to make sure you unplug the system from wall power.

Thank you very much for your video, I have a question, the standby LED is still on even when I shut down my pc, this is not the biggest problem, the big problem is that if I unplug my pc and plug it back and turn it on, I get the windows window "start windows normally" or "start testing" or something ... this means that when I unplugged my pc, the system was not turned off at all .... Moreover, my hard drive was damaged. Now I use a new hard drive and try not to unplug ... HELP ... What do I do to turn off the standby led? .. Sorry for my English
@Decryptedtech10 жыл бұрын
are you sure you are powering the PC off or putting it in stand-by? If you truly shut Windows down you can unplug you system without any issue. If you just put it in standby or hibernate you will see what you are getting now.
@visor7ec10 жыл бұрын
Supposedly windows shuts down. I checked the settings and actually does not hibernate, windows shuts down normally .... maybe some settings in the bios solve my problem? ..
@Decryptedtech10 жыл бұрын
visor7ec Try this: Press Alt+F4. You should open a new window with shutdown options. Let me know what shows up as the option. If it is sleep or hibernate then you can chose shutdown from the dropbox and see what happens.
@visor7ec10 жыл бұрын
Decryptedtech ... when I press ALT + F4, I get a window with 4 options: shut down, hibernate, suspend and log off. I selected the option shut down my pc is turned off, but the LED on the motherboard is still on. As I read in the manual of the motherboard, this LED lights when the system is ON, in sleep mode, or in soft-off mode .... thanks for your help

u can use a gpt HDD with this motherboard?
@Decryptedtech11 жыл бұрын
GPT is not a hardware type. It is a partition type you chose. The option to setup a GPT partition is available in Windows (XP and above) so you can use one there. If you are asking about larger capacity drives (3TB and up) Asus does not say one way or the other.

***** Book? haha, I don't know what they learn you, but i only read books the first 2 month before i had finished everything i needed to do. After that i have since then for over a year worked with software and hardware support. And my grades are based on the views of my customers, My manager and my teacher all together. And all of the work i did and how i handled it. Computers are an easy piece of work. Kinda like riding a bike.
