- Update- It appears there was an issue with our Fluke 62 Mini. The internal switch that changes the reading from Farenheit to celcius was not working as it should. we have made the calculations to adjust the temps and you can see the results below. We apologize for this as the reading still showed c in the display. However it is obvious that it was not reading properly when we used a second IR thermometer for verification after user comments

If you check out the linked review we have the idle and load tempsfor the PCH listed under heat :-) As for the CPU it never got over 85c

Maximum memory availble to the iGPU is 1024MB or 1GB of system memory. The default is 64MB

the -M is micro ATX the -V is full. The -V also has wireless. There are also some improved component choices on the -V

Thanks for the reply, Do you recommend this board I will be pairing this with the 3570k. I'm not into extreme OC, 4.4-4.6 ghz would be enough for me in every day use. I've been torned choosing between the new 3570k or the cheaper 2500k. The crazy temps of IB is disappointing. But most of the reviews right now used an ES version. I guess i have to wait for the retail product. Thanks for the good review

The iGPU should disable when you put in a secondary GPU. However there is a way in the BIOS to disable the IGPU. it is in CPU settings.

Should be same , mine is a P8Z77-M , its just that its not PRO version. But how you enter this BIOS , you restart PC , press F12 when booting up ? (or F something i cant remember ) Because the retail shop technician was building the PC , so i didn't have time to actually see everything sort of a rush. Maybe this is the Advance Mode or something ? I heard this have Advance an EZ mode ( Also i haven't actually read the manual yet lol ! ) Behind my box have a logo , UEFI BIOS too

Uh i just got my PC day before.When he booted up , the BIOS he shown me its different. How you go to this one ?? Also the Chassis Fan RPM he shown me its only up to 600 RPM ! How come urs can go over 1 K ? Can i set it to auto ? ?

Hello! I know this is an old video but if you see my comment can you help me with a problem i have with my mobo? The model is Sapphire Pure Black p67 Hydra (i7 2600k) and the rx 580 8gb (also from Sapphire) i bought doesnt boot in gaming mode. My question is if my mobo supports UEFI or not. In bios it says UEFI Compliency 2.0 but the pc doesnt post with this gpu. I saw pictures of this mobo and in boot options they have ex. "boot option 3: UEFI: USB Disc 2". That means that if i install my windows 10 in uefi mode the card is going to work or it doesn't matter? Thank you for your time.

for a intel 2500k overclocked to 4ghz, should i get Asus P8Z77-M or the Asus P8Z77-M PRO?

Do you have the same motherboard as this one? If so you should have the UEFI BIOS like you see here. If not you can use the Asus update utility to update your BIOS.

This is actually a good board for overclocking. You should be able to hit the target 4.4GHz without too many issues.

Hi, im using this mobo 2 year all things is ok to clean my computer. So now small blue cube heatsink is hot i check my motherboard temperature on bios +48C. its ok ?

what type of monitor do you have? I have read that some models of Acer have an issue with the scaling on ASRock and Asus Boards...

The -M or the -M Pro? The -M can OC, but not as well as the -M Pro.

Hi, at the tools tab->SPD info, mine reads all 4 slots (total 16gb) but main page still shows 8gb. Tested all 4 slots and stick individually and in pairs, all works fine but not when all 4 in. CPUZ reads 16 even when bios and windows shows 8. wits end.

Do you have the same board or is it a slightly different model? Also are you in advanced mode? You can get there by hitting F7.

Hi, have a newer issue now on my p8z77 m pro and I can't get it really fix. My GRAPHICS CONFIGURATION sub menu is missing like gone on my bios screen and in addition to that the onboard graphics isn't now working due to I believe the said missing sub menu. My card r9 280x is working fine however I wanna try Lucid Virtu and can't set it up as the onboard iGPU setting and the actual signal is kinda dead I guess?. I tried updating the BIOS recently and I still have the same missing sub menu. any idea? I am using the same kind of specs, I just changed my card though.

I have not seen that happen on the board that we had in the lab. What happens if you remove the GPU from the board? Does the sub menu reappear?

Decryptedtech nothing happens. Actually i just bought the GPU because of what happened the iGPU is not producing any signal at all. I never touched anything, plainly right after I took off the fan and the heatsink from the motherboard to clean it(just basically blew all dust on it) when i place everything back noting just appearing on the screen, so i was kinda worried as it might be a serious thing going on in my system. The sub menu has really gone missing.. Did every possible thing to do. I did.... 1. CMos clear 2. Ram check 3. Took of the cpu and checked as it could be disaligned when i took off fan &htsink(well i haven't check pins on mobo? But i dunno if thats the problem as my system is working perfectly with r9 280x...) 4. Held the power while power cord was disconeceted for seversl minutes before. Nothing happened so i was like maybe you could me.. Can't use the freakin lucid virtu, do you think lucid will work with r9 gpu?

christian estrada Lucid's Virtu is designed to work with GPUs from Intel, NVIDIA and AMD. You should be able to run it with any products from those companies. You might need to update the software before you run it simply because the R9 is a newer GPU and might not be recognized by the version that came with the board.

I truly appreciate your replies but you know really the graphics configuration has gone missing, and I think this is common issues on asus's motherboard. One stuff I found is this "www.tomshardware.com/forum/310635-30-p8z68-integrated-graphics-problem" and I am getting the same error as he did. he didn't mention something about the missing graphics configuration in bios settings but I believe that if he did check it we have the same issue. :-(

Sir what should I set for graphics when using an external GPU like gtx 770? in my case I had a gtx760 and whenever I play DOTA 1 it gives me 3D edges on character and environment graphics it doesn't look like i was using a gtx760. When I tried to take out the gtx760 and tried to just use the onboard graphics it gives me more realistic and smooth edges and some additional graphics came out! and I don't know why? when the gtx760 shoud give me more than what is expected versus the onboard. So basically i was using Asus P8Z77-M Pro and intel 3570(non-k) and the gtx760.. What bios GPU setting should I set? Thanks in advance.

The board should auto detect your GPU when you boot. I am assuming you have the monitor plugged into the GTX760 when you were getting the lower quality graphics? Did you adjust them in the game or just allow the game to detect what you have? It is possible that the game is not picking up the better GPU properly so you might have to set it manually

i dont understand why asus doesnt say anything about this motherboard capacitors, they are solid but i read a lot of bad reviews of this mobo... now is on a box im afraid to test it because i cant get a replament only 1150 mothers in my country

I've just bought this main board with some other stuff for building a new pc, and yesterday when i ended building everything this bios worked fine though i couldnt run the operative system, the computer was crashing and restarting when i tried, (it was a Windows 7 on a hard disk that i already had on my old pc and worked fine) so i gave up, and today morning ive tried runing it again and it was even worse, the pc couldnt switch on, i couldnt even get this bios... T_T And sry for my bad english xD

4.2GHz is very possible on a 2500K depending on the actual CPU you end up with.

I installed a M.2 NVme SSD on this board's PCIe x 4 slot, installed Windows, but I have trouble booting to the PCIe slot. Where do I change the settings to boot to PCIe boot device? Thanks.
