Should You Buy The Asus Rog Ally X

I have a Legion Go and I still want this and I got it. Massive difference, Ally X is more portable with 2x battery power than the Legion Go, screen is smaller, no big deal, the screen is crisp and sharp, the ergonomic as well as the weight of the X is amazing especially compared to the Legion Go since the Go is heavier and not the most comfortable in playing long session in bed. So the Go will be staying home and the X will be with me everywhere I go within means and reasons of course. I never purchase the original Ally (2023) so I wasn't in such a dilemma when deciding whether to grab the X or not.

Cool video. I disagree. I switched to this from a legion go. And performance wise its been a big difference. Dont get me wrong the legion go is great. The screen is great. But not having to worry so much about battery life while also simultaneousky seeing big performance gains on heavy games. Like dude i can run baldurs gate 3 on medium settings at 60ish fps at 15w tdp for 3 hours. Vs legion go at 48ish fos for an hour and change. Thats a HUGE jump in quality of life. When you consider its a portable device.

Agreed. I think the TDP tuning is top notch on the X. I also jumped ship from a Legion Go. It was hard because the screen real estate on the Go is phenomenal, but the increased ram, supersized battery, room for a 2280, and better ergonomics? It's a winner.

The ally x is amazing but I’ll be returning mine I thought I could justify the $800 price tag but I don’t think so not for what I need it for I’ll be going back to my steam deck might think of getting a SD oled just for the oled screen if I want to play a game that I can’t on the SD I’ll just play it on my pc since it’s a full spec 4090 pc

Nice video but the Asus ally x is better 1tb Lenovo is going for $700 and the ally x is for 800 With a lot of improvement. the only handle i would look out for is the zotac with the oled screen but i bought the Asus ally x and it's really good

@@ultrasalted I hear you, but when there’s been performance test showing that the legion go has kept up and even outperformed the x (very few games) and not considered it the true competitor is a bit crazy to me 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@destroyaX aesthetics, performance, battery life, comfort. Everything matters. These handhelds are in expensive category, so due diligence required.

@@ultrasalted aesthetic comes down to preference and taste so throw that out the window. Performance again the legion keeps up with the x on many games. Comfort none of these handhelds are fully comfortable so throw that out the window as well. Battery I’ll give it to you. Calling the legion trash when it checks so many things is just insane.. I truly believe that at the end of the day you can’t go wrong with the top 3.
