@@DrAdityaReddy Refresh rate has nothing to do with display quality. Sure it's cleaner and faster, but the it all comes down to consumer opinion and review. Remember how the iphone xr was shit on because of its 800p display, well in alot of public blind tests, majority of the testers preferred the iphone's display. If you look at it with just specs, ofc the asus seems like the superior choice, but if you look at the phones in person without and other context, its more a more balanced result. I have the predecessor, ROG2, and i have an iphone 11 pro, and I can tell you right now that I prefer the iPhone, even with the shit 60hz refresh rate.

Bear in mind this is an Android guy who likes to beat up on Apple and the A14 has obliterated EVERY Android phone. The A13 was one (1) second slower than the ASUS last year in this test,. You should be fair and have "reduce motion" enabled on the iPhone as Android tends do reduce animation by default. Testing on my 2-year-old XS Max with reduce-motion enabled the system apps to open quicker than what you are showing. If app opening is important then you will enable reduce motion so is this not done for any reason?

I know most of the high end androids boast specs that is mesmerizing but the poor iphone is sh*t and is generations old in terms of specs on paper. But still iPhones tends to outperform androids on tasks that requires heavy performance. It's the reason esports players use them as they could maintain their performance (but still throttling is an issue). It's not about the device it's all about personal preference. Those who love ios go for it and vice versa. Personally I love android due to the freedom it offers. But it provides that freedom sacrificing the security, where nothing in this world cannot stop ios yet :). After all it's all about personal preference..!

Even though most of the flagship androids can give 90fps in pubg mobile, they are not able maintain that performance during scrims or competitive games. Maybe they could give out those during casual pubg mobile games(which most of the people care about). But iphones which has 60fps can provide stable performance throughout the game. This is the reason why competitive players mostly prefer iPhones which can give stable 60fps over androids that can give unstable 90fps. For most people who wants to play game at high refresh rate casually androids is the best option comparing the pice tag of iphones. But those who want the most stable performance for those competitive games can go for iphones (After all if price isn't an issue). I hope this helps :)

I don't understand that opening and closing apps is a good thing to test because if you know RAM, you know that a phone with more RAM will have to launch apps faster anyway. You should test the processing performance. Another injustice is that you have different settings on refresh rate.

Only the ram management portion makes sense. iPhone animations are slowed down to give an aesthetically pleasing experience. You can't just open apps and say it opened first it's faster, firstly the code isn't the same and the apps are running on 2 different platforms. It's not an apples to apples comparison. Real workload the A14 will always be faster than any other SoC at the moment.
