tbh thats more of a fault of your incompetent congress and lobbyists working for companies. united states has shit consumer laws when it comes to RMA and/or warranty. and middle management in every company working for bonuses tied to least amount of $$ spent/earned on warranties etc. And asus is not the only one that does this shit in case you are not following actual news and not just getting your news on youtube. i have had Gigabyte and MSI try to pull the same bullshit in my country but due to my country having consumer laws that companies dont want to mess with unless they want million dollar fines they cave quickly when you mention the national consumer council will be your next stop as someone that has dealt with pc hardware for better part of 2 decades asus is actually the manufacturer i have had the least trouble with( so not a fanboy either i pick what suits my specifications best). just be sure to meticulously document the state of something before you send it in and the packaging it was sent in. and in my country all manufacturers are liable to send you packaging(if you do not have the original boxing) and pay for the shipping of RMA's as its part of warranty procedure

This is a bios issue related to the i9 14th and 13th gen CPUs. The fix is to lower max voltage and limit pcore/ecore if still unstable. Should update bios and reset the setting first. Lots of material online about this as Intel finally acknowledged the issue recently. Has plagued my systems causing crashes randomly on highly specific cpu operations. This fault permanently damages CPUs. My 14900k cannot run stock settings now.

I got the same case but in black. So for the first time I got a size reference and man you weren't joking when you said "Tiny Racoon Hands". They might be tiny but you're the coolest racoon around!
@olandersnake6 ай бұрын
You don't need to water cool, but you need a much bigger tower cooler like a Noctua NH-D15 or a Thermalright Peerless Assassin (preferably the 7 heat pipe version). Also having the replacement contact frame helps as well.
@KhalMurdock6 ай бұрын
I had a d15 in the other one and it wad still thermal throttled
@olandersnake6 ай бұрын
@@KhalMurdock If you leave it with stock BIOS settings then I can see that happening. You do need to go in and do some taming of voltage and such. They always dump too much onto the CPU by default. Once you find the sweet spot then it should be all good. Also if you are hitting thermal limits under a stress test Vs actual regular workload conditions then that isn't practical either. If you are with regular usage then by all means find a different solution. My choice for a good AIO is the Arctic Liquid Freezer II preferably the 420mm version. Their rads are physically thicker than all other brands. They can achieve better cooling period. Also a good quality high heat transfer paste helps. Like Kingpin KPx. I find Thermal Grizzly dries up too quickly.
