Just ordered myself the lowest end version of this (I already have a good desktop) and this just solidified that I made the right choice, I mainly bought it because the specs were good for the price, I didn't realize is was such high quality construction. Very well made video!

I bought mine kind of by accident, my wife needed a laptop with high end specs to run some bio informatic software, and I ended up keeping it since the software customer service told her that the computer needed at least 1TB internal SSHD and didn't advice using an external one, and I got the 500gb version, I decided to keep it and buy another one for my wife, and I don't regret my decision, is the best laptop I have ever owned, any game I throw at it can run max settings and doesn't overheat, also while expensive it is still on a reasonable price range for what you get.

@@anitamahindrakar4339 mine is an asus rog 15 with Ryzen 9, 5000 series overclocked with a rtx 3060 gpu, it was very expensive but considering when I bought it, it was kind of high end laptop, I think the price was ok around 1500 euro, the really top end stuff goes well above the 2500 euro mark but seriously for the games I play don't need such monsters, regarding your question it seems like a reasonable price, but the rtx3050ti gives you a 60 percent less performance than the rtx 3060 (did a quick search and pair both gpus up) don't know how that translate for gaming but that gpu is not the best, you can check out some videos of comparable rigs and what games you will want to play to see if it will be worth it for you, for me I don't think I will have to invest on a laptop for quite a while unless something breaks lol it might worth investing a bit more depending on your needs and to be honest the chip and gpu shortage will not end so don't think prices are going to go down any time soon with all the damn sad chaos in the world right now. Edit: forgot the 300hz, to be honest unless you play FPS I don't think the refresh rate will make a huge impact, mine is at 144hz but for the games I play I don't see any difference if I set it at 60hz, only games that seems a bit smoother are FPS like halo or overwatch all others I don't see any improvement so the refresh rate you will only benefit if you plan to play those kind of games so for me is not an important benchmark.

I have the same pc except with the 3060. Prepare for 95c cpu temps gaming on anything but silent mode and thats on an IETS twin turbo fan cool pad. But the cpu handles up to 105c from what i found on amd's website. Nice review

I had this on my Amazon “Save For Later” list trying to find the same Model Version and I finally found it! The link redirected me to the exact version I had there! Man was it difficult to find, but I am seeing it closer now, WOW, is it a beauty. I still haven’t decided about getting it, building my own, or getting another brand of laptop. @@hollodron I went with the Asus ROG G513 QR-ES96. That matte black with such a vivid red sold me on it. excellent specs and it has been performing pretty nicely! about 76 degrees celcius on the cpu while running Cyberpunk 2077. sometimes i turn rtx on to enjoy the view and it doesn't seem like it raises the temperature of the cpu or gpu. it also isn't so loud that you can hear it, just a mild wshhhhh that you can hear if you focus on it long enough. the colors are also pretty nice, but dunno really since most of my life i have dealt with cheap displays for monitors and laptops. for $1800, it was worth every penny. i will say the software is annoying, for asus for the lighting and stuff. it keeps reminding me to update it almost every time i open the app to change something even though i updated it last 2 days ago.

Great desktop replacement. Just bought this to have a gaming/streaming setup at my girlfriends. Mostly its going to be sitting on a stand to improve ventilation and air flow and I'll be using a additional 1080p monitor as the main monitor. Very compact. Lack of webcam doesn't bother me as usually they are subpar and its easy to add one to your liking.

Absolutely... Though you'll be giving up a bit of screen resolution

At 15.6", I think it's pointless to get the 1440p screen, as you really won't see much difference. You have to go up to 17" before I think moving to 1440p starts to make some kind of sense. In addition, if you go up to 1440p, you'll have to get a video card with at least 8GB of video memory, and really, 10GB is safer at that resolution, as some games max out even 6GB using ultra settings at 1080p, and they'll max out 8GB at 1440p.

I have the ryzen5 with GTX3050 and the 144Hz panel version. Probably the same case, keyboard, etc. But most complaints I have about the choices: arrow keys are so small -not for gamers, keyboard backlight is flickering - not so healthy, the characters on the keyboard are just a lack of paint - not readable and have a very heterogeneous backlight. The laptop is loud under load and wifi card very unstable. The touch-pad is huge but without buttons, not so good and not for gamers. Only one USBC on the bottom and only 3 USBA. No camera, no docking port, no external PCIe for external graphics. Inside the palce for additional m.2 but no place for heatsink.

Hi, I purchased this laptop for my studies. Hence my workload is comparatively less than a gamer. In silent mode my fan rpm is 0 but the CPU temperature is around 60°. What can I do for it. ? Appreciate your help in this matter.

If you're finding it warm, you can manually turn on the fan by opting for the next performance mode by going into armory crate. Because it's on silent, it is choosing to keep fan off until and unless the CPU temperatures go drastically up. So it's prioritizing low noise over low temperature at the moment
