@mobeen369 Yes, I wouldn't advise it. If the air intake or exhaust get blocked, it'll get very hot while doing intensive workloads. The laptop will downclock its CPU to keep it safe, but it really isn't good to keep it hot for that long, as it could damage it overtime (as it would on any other laptop). With light use like web browsing though, the fans are hardly (if at all) running, so that shouldn't be a problem. I've used it to listen to music or watch Yt on my bed many times

Yes, otherwise the battery drains in like an hour xd The original charger has passthrough, so it won't keep charging and discharging the battery, and just provide power to the laptop directly

New subscriber here, I dig your videos! I also own a 2024 G14. You mention the Left USB-C (same side as HDMI port) not being connected to the dGPU, however, I have a USB4 hub connected to it and have 2 monitors connected to that hub, one of them being a 1440p 144hz monitor that I game on. When I play I am definitely getting dGPU performance, and Armory Crate says the dGPU is being utilized almost 100%. Are you sure about the ports? Why would my dGPU show up as being utilized? I doubt I'm getting 80fps+ in CoD @ 1440p using the iGPU lol

Thank you! :D The way I said it may have been a bit confusing xd You can still use the dGPU through the left USB-C port, it will just be routed through the chipset. Performance will still be good, but slightly less, and with more latency than if it were connected directly to the dGPU. The same applies for the internal screen, where the dGPU is routed through the chipset (iGPU) by default, but CAN be set to dGPU mode only, where it will have slightly less latency and a bit more performance

For most people 16GB of RAM is good enough. You'll only really need 32GB if you run very heavy programs, or play the absolute latest games, or want to keep this laptop for a VERY long time. Keep in mind that the STRIX is a completely different laptop, that sacrifices many quality of life things to have that upgradeability

No, it just takes a 25% performance hit. Games run perfectly fine at native resolution, but i ran the benchmarks in 1080p so it's more comparable to the other laptops i review

How do you handle performance issues. I have Intel ultra 9 185h g16 with 4070. Temps also sometimes hit 97c CPU gpu is limited to 87 so it's stays on 86 at heavy load

You'd need to use the right USB-C 4.0 port. Keep in mind it can't charge through that port though, so you would need to connect the charger seperately

dont buy it i returned mine, high temps, LOUD fan im not exaggerating like probably 50 - 60db, i could hear it from my kitchen when it was in my room, bottom cover creaks, is also made of plastic, LCD has screen bleeding and also not a retina display which means u can see the tiny pixels, lagged off charger and had a bad battery life, now i switched to macbook pro m1 pro 2021 for only 150 more and it has alot better cpu, screen, speakers, battery and doesnt creak and is full aluminum, If you dont game heavy buy mac if u game heavy try to get the g14 2024 not 2023

It's a very good option! The 4070 isnt really worth that extra money, but the 32GB might... So if you don't use more than 16GB of RAM, you should probably buy the 4060 model :)

16GB is enough for most cases, but newer games keep demanding more RAM. For 90% of people it's good enough though. The new G14 comes out around early 2024, so wait if you can, but if you need a laptop now, this G14 is perfectly good as well :)

@@Jainish182 Upgrading soldered RAM is a VERY difficult (and expensive, if someone else is doing it) job. Most technicians can't solder extra RAM to a laptop, let alone a tightly packed one like this. I wouldn't try to do that 🥲 It would be cheaper and easier to just import a 32GB model from Japan. Then again, 16GB is perfectly fine for most people, so you could just buy that

@aakashsuvarna2564 I have a 1440p 165Hz monitor myself, and it runs most games perfectly fine :) Might have to tweak some graphical settings here and there, but 120fps is easily reachable

Can i use ghelper with deleting my asus and ac?

You can, but it can cause issues. It's recommended to delete ac and myasus.
