I use a Cooler Master 200P with a Nvidia RTX4080 FE, Asus ROG STRIX Z790 I Gaming motherboard with an Intel Core i7 13700KF CPU. Cooled by a Noctua NH-U12A Chromax. 32gb of RAM memory DDR5 at 6000Mhz from Corsair Dominator. I have put two times M.2 SSD's from Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 of 2 Terabytes at read/writing speed of 7000mb/s. At last for powering the whole system, I use an Asus Thor 1000W Platinum SFX-L power supply. I'm very happy with my system I've build around May this year and it runs very silent, very smooth and it manages the temperature very decent at high loads for a quiet compact form factor! 😊

You don't think the xproto n would fit the 4090? The listed 3080strix is 140mm long right? I think the stand angle design is a flaw, it limits card length. They should flip the mobo and GPU ports to the bottom to look less messy

I see the manual says: "ATX power supplies are supported, thanks to 30mm more PSU length clearance. We recommend an ATX PSU less than 150mm long so there is sufficient space for cable management; if your PSU is longer than 150mm you will likely have to use it in the sideways-oriented position."

i have a problem with the AIO bracket and the screws not being long enough to accommodate the extra thickness of the bracket

@@OlavAlexanderMjelde I’m talking about the bracket that mounts onto the AIO you have to remove the existing screws from the fan out the bracket ontop re screw in and then mount onto the case, my screws are now not long enough to account for the extra mm’s of thickness

hello, you can do it - but it will block off a couple of the ports. Also remember to have the case horizontal (not standing up as I have in this video). That is due to the heatpipes, if not you will not get a good performance for the cooler.

@@OlavAlexanderMjelde Ah is it because the I/O bracket on the card will be going off to one side? In the case accessory box there are 15mm, 20mm and 30mm stand offs. Which standoff on the Riser can keep the GPU I/O straight? Thanks for the reply!

@@OlavAlexanderMjelde would you mind explaining why having the case in the horizontal position as opposed to standing up give the cooler better performance? The heat pipes are a fixed component so I don't understand why changing the orientation of the case would boost the performance.

@markschwab7772 some coolers are less effected, but if its regular heat pipes the heat makes the water drops into steam. That fills the pipe and then cools and turns into drop. Then this drop should move back to right place. If a GPU is flipped it may mean lower heat pipes will accumulate drop very far from the GPU. So turning it to steam won't be as effective. On some GPUs I saw several degrees difference by flipping this case while running a bench loop. It did work fine in both ways, but cooler card means less fan noise and more sustained power. Some cards use Vapor chambers which I think are less affected.

I just cut the part out where the card is... because the next card will be again too long for sure. (have also 4090 Tuf oc) Now every card will fit and never again squeezing :D I want to keep taht case. It stand horzontal but still can stand vertical. Super sturdy and great build quality. But i will buy anouther one. I think these parts are perfect for the ultimale case mod. But the arrangement can be even better than this.

I'm about to make a video about how the power supply plug on V2 it's not look like urs, there's no cuts on power supply plug , the metal has no cuts to screw in the power plug , such a massive and a basic mistake without any explanation on any videos out there

I ordered an Xproto-ATX Jan 16th during the Chinese New Year Sale. Their website said new orders would be shipped first week of February. It shipped Feb 5th and I received it Feb 14th. Pretty fast all things considered. They do ship via Air Mail, which makes a big difference. Posting this for anyone who has the same questions. Hopefully you've received your order by now. Edit to add: I’m located in the States as well.

Will it impact the cooling effect? It seems the heat-pipe is not putted at a good direction in this installation. Have you tested the thermal performance for this configuration?

@@AkshatPrakash7 yes, the flip module should also work. I just have the case horizontally when Im using it though. If I did use a flip module, I would also have to flip my AIO radiator 180 degrees so the air could travel in the right place. But that would of course be an easy task.

@@Vezon-7 I just tried to flip the entire case, first horizontal layout, did some gaming and watched temp + fps, then moved it standing orientation. Dont think it will fit with flip module, not sure... But now I have it wrong way (display adapters in the air). I think the TUF does not have vapor chamber, but heat pipes. Not sure if heat pipes can handle the "not ideal" orientation. When I had a 3090 from Gigabyte (arous xtreme), it did not like the wrong direction, temps overheated.. I especially saw it on hotspopt temp of GPU for the 3090 AROUS Xtreme. But didnt notice anything on the 4090 TUF.

Does anyone know if this card suffers from poor cooling performance when vertical? What about the IO pointing down with a flip module? Can the tuf card even fit with a flip module? I’m stuck between this and a Dan a4 h20 case

not sure, I actually am using it now the "wrong way", but I didnt notice anything with temps or performance. Was looking at the fps and temps while gaming. Just did it in games though, not synthetic benchmarks. But the card is quiet I think even in this "wrong" direction

I have the 3080 TUF and it works fine, my EVGA 3080TI on the other hand got max temps and fans literally seconds under gaming...unusable, it was loud like a jet engine.

Is it enough 750W psu for 4090?

it depends on your other hardware, also how good the 750W is. For regular use, the 4090 will use max 450W. If you however mine on both GPU and CPU and maybe have a latest gen Intel, it might be too weak. But I have the 5950x and I game at 4K, so then the CPu wont be utilized too much. I will however buy a larger PSU, but I am waiting for the next gen ones to arrive.

Yes, you need longer stand-offs for the bracket - if you want it at perfect angle. The "fit" is however mainly a length test as the concern was if the card was too long.
