My ASUS ROG power jack is driving me nuts! If the cord moves a little, it starts switching profiles. (The actual center pin on the adapter looks fine). Do you know why this tends to happen? I don't move the laptop besides, putting it on my desk. I'm not even hard on it so, no clue why it's broken. Anyways, thanks for the video! I hope to be able to fix mine as well.

@@Saad-qe8jq The only thing I could figure out is that I would need to re-solder a new power jack. The end of my power cable looks completely fine so, thats the only thing I could think would be the issue. Maybe check out both of the plugs, and see if they are loose. Hope this helps.

@@woolfy02 ​ I have also the same problem @Saad-qe8jq. I already changed the power jack one time and it seems to work for a time but now the problem came back. have you found a lasting solution ?

I damaged the board in the process of trying to replace it. I should of just sent it out to get professionally fixed, but I didn't.(hot air blew away a lot of the tiny components). Not really sure what could be, if yours stopped working. I know for me, it was definitely the power jack as, the new one fit tight in the plug.

Wonder, would charging with a powerbank or per usb-c charger still work or does the broken power jack mess with that? If it does but it does still not work I assume it would mean something else got fried too I guess...

If there is an usb c charging enabled, usually a broken main connector would not interfere with the usb c charging.
