@@StormHawksHD Hi I just did the screen swap today with the same LG panel and noticed after putting everything back together, there’s a space/gap at the bottom corner between the bezel and the screen. Actually even on both sides of the bezel there’s a gap. Is that normal? I didn’t even get to check the gap before replacing the screen so I wasn’t really sure if the gap has been there all along. Thanks

@@yezzirrr416 Check that you aligned it properly. I didn't run into this issue so I have no idea.

Great work bro, What are your temperatures before and after the liquid metal?
@smooshman123454 жыл бұрын
Well... GPU sits below 80 99% of the time, but the cpu now just boosts higher and overheats because of it still... haha. I've bough more mini heat sinks to install onto the cooling setup.

Hi! Tempted to do this, any tips? Also, would any 40-pin display work and how easy was it to install? Would you say it was worth it? Thanks :)

Also did you need to mess around with any software stuff or drivers, or did everything work straight out of the box?

Hi bro. Can i upgrade my asus tuf a15 fa506iu 30 pin 60 hz to 144 hz?
@smooshman123454 жыл бұрын
Listen man, I don't own your model, I did alot of research before picking this screen. You need to find out what model screens are compatible. There are 120hz 30 pin screens, but like I said you need to research

@@smooshman12345 i found 144 hz 30 pin screen. Everything looks fine but nobody tried this upgrade so i dont know anything about compatibility.
@smooshman123454 жыл бұрын
@Ali Karaşahin You will have to find this out for yourself then. Why would I know anymore than you know.

Look for your exact model on laptopscreen.com to see if you have the 30 or 40 pin model, then you can make the purchase with more peace of mind

what was the refresh rate of the original screen?
@StormHawksHD3 жыл бұрын
The same, 144hz. It was just a really bad blurry panel during high movement. Alot of smiring.

@@StormHawksHD thanks for the answer, i have the same cpu and gpu, but it is only a 60hz screen, it only has a 30 pin connector, i'll have to look further for another screen

Im putting hands to work. New screen arriving soon. Asus really fucked us with this cheap display. The guy at the store said these laptops were bought to be used with external monitors.. nonsense.. unreal comment..
@StormHawksHD3 жыл бұрын
Yeah thats kinda stupid. These laptops are pretty good when you fix the overheating and the screen issues.

@@StormHawksHD my unit has the Intel chip. Throttling don't happen often. Anyway.. got the screen... Wrong model... compatible they say.. can you provide information about nits and srgb settings on yours?

Just to update.. mine has originally the Innolux 144hz with around 9ms. The retailer sent the same model sd compatible.. 🤣.. ended up cracking the original due to dual tape adhesive being so sticky.. lame.. the new version of the screen seems to be anyhow more responsive.. screen lotery buiss
