Warm is quite the understatement. This thing runs hot enough to cook an egg. Thats not quite perfection in my book. Manufacturers sacrifice performance just to get the sleekest thinest design. Samsung did the the same with the edge book running the snapdragon x elite 80. The thin design makes it perform less good than some other laptops running the x elite 78.

Have had my eye on this one for a while. I see ComputerMania and Incredible Connection are stocking them now and R41 000 seems like pretty good value. My main concerns are: 1. Brightness seems a bit on the lower side 2. What are the CPU upper-bound limits in this device? I don't intend on using this for GPU intensive tasks, nor for video editing but will this hold up to QA testing and coding?

1. Real world brightness is 375 nits which is fantastic for OLED and you wont find brighter OLEDs than what Asus sells and the screen is CALIBRATED! Only on a CPU this energy efficient can you afford to waste power on such a bright OLED! 2. The compact cores run at 3.33Ghz, so they are 2/3 of a P-core, and ALL are multithreaded. So overall the hx370 is like 4 P-cores and 8*0.67 P-cores which is 9.33 P-cores and each one is about 15% faster than zen4, so its like a 10-core 20-thread zen4 CPU. I bought the hx365 which is closer to an 8-core 16 thread zen4 CPU in performance. I figured the 28/34w power limit would clip the wings of the 890m gpu and in many cases on this laptop indeed the 890m fails to outperform the 880m. If you want real horsepower get an 8945hx3d cpu as thats 16 p-cores ..

‪Avoid Asus at all cost! ‬ ‪I’ve never had more issues. My zenbook s16 is the worst and ASUS CUSTOMER SERVICE WONT DO ANYTHING!! THEY WONT EVEN TALK TO ME‬ ‪AMD 9 HX 370. 32gb ram. 2TB‬ ‪As I type this I have forced shutdown after entire computer freeze just browsing the web, attempted to reboot. It says it Asus forgot my pin, doesn’t recognize my face (as always). Says I don’t have internet (I had it before shutdown???) to login into Microsoft. ‬ ‪95% of my days have had issues like this. Asus is garbage‬ ‪I cannot stress enough how bad of an experience this has been and continues to be. To the point I’m going to have to buy a new laptop that isn’t Asus ‬
