The Zenfone 11 Ultra (and also the ROG counterparts) actually have something called psychoacoustics included in the tuning of the speakers. With that, the speakers can play low bass tones that a normal phone is not able to reach. You can turn on a tone generator at 50Hz and actually hear "bass" with the Asus phones, whereas with a Samsung, iPhone or Pixel, you will not hear anything at all.

I really like the design, very clean and minimal. Unfortunately as you mentioned the cameras fall well short of the iphones and samsung ultras. Asus also simply doesnt have the brand recognition to get away with not including the charger in the box here in North America at least. Is this even available in Canada?

You have always been able to do app folders in the app menu, you just hold a app and move and drop it onto another app, and Bing, a folder 📂 then add whatever apps you want.

I like Zenfone 10, the size was a bit big, but still handy. Zenfone 11 is too big, just like any other smartphone nowadays. What a pity.

Just stopped by to say this is a big mistake by Asus. There are way better "big" phones readily available. I was waiting for a proper Zenfone 11 but jumped on the Xiaomi 14 once it became clear Zenfone is dead.

Lots of OEMs are struggling to make money due to Samsung (mainly). Samsung's predatory pricing and seven-year support have meant that, at least in the Global market, ASUS and Chinese OEMs are sinking. Also, compact phone sales are in decline. ASUS, therefore, went the most economical route and just debranded the ROG Phone and called it the Zenfone. If that means they can survive that is better than not.
